Macedonia will in late September vote in favor of Pristina joining Interpol, says Ivan Stoilkovski, a member of the Macedonian Assembly.

Looks like the people of the Balkans are poking each other in the eyes just to satisfy the US.

The news story does not mention anybody in the Balkans poking anybody in the eyes and it does not mention the US being satisfied or unsatisfied with anything! So, what are you talking about?!

Kosovo joining Interpol is in everybody's interest. Fighting crimes helps everybody.

Why would Stoilkovski want Serbian and Turkish recognized as well? The amount of Serbs and Turks in Macedonia is miniscule. This is very stupid. It's quite obvious he is a Serb in Macedonian clothing, like the journalist Milenko.
The only languages that should be spoken in Macedonia are the Western Dialect of Bulgarian, and in the areas where Albanians make up more than 50%, Albanian should be official. This needs to be done, as if it is is not done, then tensions will rise and the Albanians will attack again as per usual. Having a large minority inside Macedonia and the precedent of Kosovo gives Albania leverage
The above is written by myself, someone who has no roots in the Balkans and is completely neutral, but still finds the happenings there fascinating.

The U.S. is doing a great job of keeping us all enemies and holding each other back. I suppose Serbia will now entertain the idea of calling Macedonia, FYROM. Destabilize and rule, just like in the Middle East.

I agree with your assessment to hate each other, but we are stuck in past - and they are not forcing anyone to do it. I see no issue if Kosovo joins Interpol I would be ok they joined as this way they will have to comply with warrants and cooperate with all countries even Serbia.
I am still in shock that Serbian list is in coalition with Harajdinaj and same time warrant for his arrest by Serbia.
Joining Interpol does not change the situation for worst but for the better, so not sure why Serbia has such issue with it. I see the point on UNESCO but now on Interpol.
