Recognition gives political and legal justification for any minority group that wants to leave Serbia! Up until now these minority groups have been calm and relatively loyal to our country, BUT after recognition this would take a U turn and the Pandora's box would be open forever! There are entire villages that are either empty or only populated by the elderly.
Then there is Albania itself. It has lost over 1 million due to migration. Macedonia is no better. In fact you could take all the Albanians in Macedonia, Kosovo and Presavo Valley and put them in Albania and you still would not be able to populate all those empty villages in that country.
