Little fat man UN1244 Kosovo is part of Serbia.
(drago, 31 July 2017 11:04)

Could you please provide a source where US 1244 mentions "Serbia" and not Federal Republic of Yugoslavia?

Since Montenegro and Serbia themselves declared independence from FRY in 2006, FRY ceased to exist.
Serbia unilaterally and illegally is declaring itself a "successor state" of Yugoslavia.

"Albanian serbs" What?

No such thing exists. Your either albanian or serboslav. You cant be both. Albania is 95% Albanian and Kosovo is 93% Albanian. There are no slavs in albanian land. We chased them out of our land long time ago

Serbia has bigger problems:

Alarmingly for this Balkan country, once the dominant republic of socialist Yugoslavia but now landlocked and impoverished, Nova Crnja is not alone.

Serbia has lost more than 377,000 people -- 5 percent of its population -- over the past nine years, according to the results of its most recent census released last month. [link]

Your nation is disappearing. By 2050 Serbias population will decrease by 15%. Another 50yrs. or 100yrs. and you`ll be gone for good.

Low birth rates and influx are a toxic mix buddy.

Make love, not war. It looks like your life depends on it.

I wonder what will Belgrade be called by then.

Absolutely, like you cannot give hungry people "more-than-autonomy-less-than-independence" to eat. So, it's not clear what your point is :)

"It is alarming that around 20,000 Kosovars have fled Kosovo each month since September 2014," especially considering that Kosovo is a country of just under 2 million inhabitants.
(Zoran, 31 July 2017 14:44)

Sure, but that's not as bad as the last time when Serbia's forces were in control in Kosovo and caused the departure of at least 700000 people from Kosovo in just about 3 months. So, it's not clear what your point is!

Zoran

Yes Reader, I don't have much hope either but Dacic is saying, lets at least agree to what each side controls. There is no point talking about autonomy or independence because we can't agree there. The whole world is split.

"realistic negotiations based on more than autonomy, less than independence. "

Oh boy, Zoran, that is not what Dacic and Vucic are saying at all.

Seriously, I would take their declarations with a grain of salt. Too many times in the past they same politicians have gone back on their words. That, or Pence promised something to Vucic when they met a few days ago before all this sudden desire for "reality" started.

When it comes to recognitions, it's more about quality than quantity. We have two permanent UNSC members supporting Serbia along with five EU members. We have many big hitters, like Russia, China, India and Brazil. There is no getting past this, the EU/NATO and the world is split. Time to think outside the box but the biggest problem I see is Albanians are not mature enough. They think that being recognised by many bribed weak island/mini states to boost numbers gives some weight.

While it is true that many countries have indeed recognised kosovo, it is also true that kosovo is not participating in key international organisations - meaning that in essence kosovo is nowhere.

Unless albanos realise that they no longer have the support of the US so that they have a less arrogant approach, i wouldn't be surprised if recognition starts becoming annulled by certain countries.

furthermore, the fact that kosovo is the cradle of extreme islamo-terrorists and a center for illegal activities is a source of scepticism for many countries.

I think that the momentum of kosovo is lost, now it is the time for cautious handling of the case - and that could include integration of northern kosovo with Serbia.

Albanos have to realise that they are not what they think they are.

Best think Serbia can do is to stop funding Organised Crim in north of Kosova as it has brought to its knees the locals Serbs and Albanians that live in north. I was talking to a Serbian man called Millorad he lives on north of Mitrovica but he comes for shopping in ETC south of Mitrovica he told me tha every one that lives on north of Mitrovica have to pay to Criminals groups 30% of their income or they cannot live there total shocking,He also said is more safe to live on other parts of kosovo then in north of Mitrovica all from Serbian organised crime groups he also said these Criminals get found by Serbia and Russia for all sort of reason like illegal Drugs and Fuel or to play up European Union.he said to When these Criminals calls a protest and if we don't go to protest these gangs pay us a visit at nights demanding money or they burn our cars or throwing bombs or shooting our homes.Serbian and Albanian People in northen Kosova are fed up and living their lives in hell all from these Serbian organised Criminals by not letting people integrate to kosovo just because they need us as playing part to their dirty work
We got information that All borders of North of kosovo and Serbia is controlled and monitored by special CCTV that come from USA by EULEX and Kosovo authorities and is mater of time these grups will be arrested and finished but it's taking to long.

(Andy UK, 31 July 2017 09:32)

Vance-Owen Peace Plan has turned BiH in a nonfunctional Country. This will never be accepted, at least not as entity with executive power. Decentralisation in itself is not the problem and is part of the constitution of Kosovo. However, a second Srpska wont be tolerated.

Dacic actually proposed a much better solution and its a pity that B92 is not reporting his whole statement.

He proposed something like the Basic Treaty 1972 (Grundvertrag) between East and West Germany.

It's quite funny when Albanians claim independence but so many come here begging for recognition. It's easy to stand firm when living comfortably in the West and expect their brethren to suffer at home.

We will just have to wait and see. I have my doubts but it's worth a try. It would be positive if we could get along, put our differences aside, come to some difficult agreements (for both sides) and move on.

Yes Reader, I don't have much hope either but Dacic is saying, lets at least agree to what each side controls. There is no point talking about autonomy or independence because we can't agree there. The whole world is split.

That can happen if the same happens in Serbia when it comes to Vojvodina, Sandzak, Presheva Valley, regions will Bulgarians, Romanians, etc.

LOL! Another Albanian living comfortably in the West standing firm while those in Kosovo are suffering. The truth of the matter is different.

"It is alarming that around 20,000 Kosovars have fled Kosovo each month since September 2014," especially considering that Kosovo is a country of just under 2 million inhabitants.

You cannot give hungry people "independence" to eat....

Absolutely, like you cannot give hungry people "more-than-autonomy-less-than-independence" to eat. So, it's not clear what your point is :)

"Albanian serbs" What?

No such thing exists. Your either albanian or serboslav. You cant be both. Albania is 95% Albanian and Kosovo is 93% Albanian. There are no slavs in albanian land. We chased them out of our land long time ago
