Not entirely true, Meyzner had a great distrust of Nedic' guard with good reason and they were sparsely armed. Nedic guards were more concerned with defeating the partisans and thus collaborated with the Germans to this end. As well, Meyzner was in constant command and control issues with the Wehrmacht in Serbia, namely Turner. This was no different as in Germany the SA, SS and Wehrmacht were in constant power struggles. Regardless, Nedic used this to his advantage.

As far as Yugoslavia, notwithstanding the Coup d etat led by General Simovic with British support, it was a Non-Aggression pact signed with Germany. The agreements only stipulated that the Germany army can transit it's troops through Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia was not required to supply troops or arms. That is quite different from Italy, Albania, Hungary , Romania and Bulgaria who supplied troops and arms and were part of the Nazi movement. It was a good agreement, too bad the British duped Prince Paul of Yugoslavia and put him under house arrest.
Serbia even under Nedic never declared war on the allies, United States of America, England or France. The same cannot be said for Italy, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania , Hungary and other countries. That's the difference in black and white.
Greece also never joined the Nazi's and never declared war on the Allies.
France was split with the Vichy and it's circumstances was similar to Yugoslavia.

yes, for 48 hours yugoslavia was a member of the axis pact. however, they had conditions, even for those two days. not conditions like albania set, so that germany could give the greater albanaia. yugoslavia's conditions were as such: yugoslavia was not obliged to provide military assistance, nor to provide its territory for axis to move military forces during the war.

The meetings are about boundary issues, security, how Serbia want it inside their province etc. When it comes to UN, they are an interim upholder of Serbia inside Kosovo. Not entirely true, Meyzner had a great distrust of Nedic' guard with good reason and they were sparsely armed. Nedic guards were more concerned with defeating the partisans and thus collaborated with the Germans to this end. As well, Meyzner was in constant command and control issues with the Wehrmacht in Serbia, namely Turner. This was no different as in Germany the SA, SS and Wehrmacht were in constant power struggles. Regardless, Nedic used this to his advantage.
Both the Ustase and Chetniks worked together with the Nazis.

As far as Yugoslavia, notwithstanding the Coup d etat led by General Simovic with British support, it was a Non-Aggression pact signed with Germany. The agreements only stipulated that the Germany army can transit it's troops through Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia was not required to supply troops or arms. That is quite different from Italy, Albania, Hungary , Romania and Bulgaria who supplied troops and arms and were part of the Nazi movement. It was a good agreement, too bad the British duped Prince Paul of Yugoslavia and put him under house arrest.
Serbia even under Nedic never declared war on the allies, United States of America, England or France. The same cannot be said for Italy, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania , Hungary and other countries. That's the difference in black and white.
Greece also never joined the Nazi's and never declared war on the Allies.

Sometimes I look at countries such as Israel and Greece, and think why the hell do they support Serbia so much? If I had to pick one country for Serbia to learn from, it is Israel. You see Kfor have weekly meetings with Kfor either in Kosovo or Serbia proper. The meetings are about boundary issues, security, how Serbia want it inside their province etc. When it comes to UN, they are an interim upholder of Serbia inside Kosovo. Albanians suffered a lot yes, but also Serbs AFTER the conflict. And you can never make a new country with a bit of a sovereign country.

What are you talking about? Of course Albania was part of the Nazi's and the Axis, they invaded Greece with Italy, my Grandfather was taking prisoners both Albanian and Italian. Who declared war on the United States of America? Was Hungary part of the Axis? Was Romania Part of the Axis? All of you need to take lessons on history.
As far as Yugoslavia, notwithstanding the Coup d etat led by General Simovic with British support, it was a Non-Aggression pact signed with Germany. The agreements only stipulated that the Germany army can transit it's troops through Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia was not required to supply troops or arms. That is quite different from Italy, Albania, Hungary , Romania and Bulgaria who supplied troops and arms and were part of the Nazi movement. It was a good agreement, too bad the British duped Prince Paul of Yugoslavia and put him under house arrest.
Serbia even under Nedic never declared war on the allies, United States of America, England or France. The same cannot be said for Italy, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania , Hungary and other countries. That's the difference in black and white.
Greece also never joined the Nazi's and never declared war on the Allies.
France was split with the Vichy and it's circumstances was similar to Yugoslavia.
The Serbian State guard was never under the SS, they were under Nedic' command. The SS did have command over the work and concentration camps. I am sure you grandfather invaded Greece and got his ass kicked.

Here is a story for you, that you wont hear eveveryday: In 1941, in the town of Cacak, the Germans ordered that all Serbian males have to die. The Germans, Nedicites, Lojticites and Chetniks selected the males and were put to trial. The Orthodox Priest, Father Dragutin Bulic, who thought at the school in Cacak, would make rulings. The rendered his judgment, drawing a cross next to the namesof those who would be executed.
Both the Ustase and Chetniks worked together with the Nazis.

Chetniks were never on Nazi side. There was a brief period where Nedic and Germans reached an truce but that was very short lived and no other Chetnik units were ever on Nazi side.

Not entirely true, Meyzner had a great distrust of Nedic' guard with good reason and they were sparsely armed. Nedic guards were more concerned with defeating the partisans and thus collaborated with the Germans to this end. As well, Meyzner was in constant command and control issues with the Wehrmacht in Serbia, namely Turner. This was no different as in Germany the SA, SS and Wehrmacht were in constant power struggles. Regardless, Nedic used this to his advantage.
Milan Nedic who had many Serbian willing volunteers killed many Jews or expelled them from Serbia. Beograd being the first Balkan city to proclaim a 'Judenfrei' city. Even Draza turned towards the Nazi's for arms and assistance against the Partizans.

He did not want the job with the Government of National Salvation, but only to save the Serbs from total destruction as Hitler would have allowed Croatia and the Ustasha to administer Serbia. Nedic was murdered by Tito's Communists without trial or recourse and thrown off a building by Alexander Rankovic. Mihailovic was much the same and saved many Jews working with Nedic.

Unfortunately this is all true. Even thou most legitimize the crimes as, they had to, they where forced to or they did it so safe someone... it happened. Trust me, no balkan country has any moral high ground on this topic. The only true resistance were Titos Partisans.
I'm proud of my Ancestors who joined the Partisans during WWII and I hate the Partisans for what they became after the war.
No matter from where you are, if you dont understand that Ustashe, ss skanderbeg, nedicevici and chetniks afollowed the Nazi ideology, then you didnt learn anything from history.
Why not love both of the cousins like Russia is doing? Too much hatred on this planet. Russia supports Fath and Hesbollah while Israel counts them as terrorists. It cannot spoil our relations with Israel who like Serbia and several others will celebrate May 9 with us now.
