"Contents of secret Fiat contract would shock Serbians"
Serbia's ruling SNS party on Friday called on the government to "once again examine any legal possibilities that would allow it to publish the Fiat contract."
I think it would have been better for Serbia to keep the company and give it subsidies and benefits directly. With all the money that Serbia has poured into it, it doesn't seem like Fiat/Italy put much net investment in it at all. Some of these "investors" end up getting more Serbian taxpayer and government money and reimbursements than they invest.
Serbia is also the one paying for years-worth of their salaries - 10 thousand Euros for each worker highered.
