"Why is EU surprised - we're not asking for trip to Mars"

Looks like it has finally surfaced. As Putin once said, good luck to Serbia on its path to the EU but he can't see how it will work. It's true, the EU/US destroyed Yugoslavia, created deep divisions and turned everyone against each other, thinking Serbia will finally submit but have learnt, we are not bootlickers like the others.

They tried to defeat us militarily but failed, they went to the UN and failed. They went on their own and divided the EU and NATO along with the rest of the world. What a mess they created with this "unique case" and now the region is in a Gordian knot. So what is their solution? Hey guys, you are welcome in the EU but sort our this knot yourselves. The message is clear my friends, they have no solution, just like other parts of the world where they thought they could force people into submission with their military might but instead created a huge global mess, with terrorism spreading like wildfire. And they still haven't leant.

In the meantime, we are seeing Russian and Chinese influence spreading, which will present a solution to many parts of the world devastated by the complete incompetence of the new world order that created unrest and chaos.

So to all those Albanians that come here so frequently. There will be no recognition of Kosovo, ever, after everything we went through, you think we will just give up? Stop focusing on Serbia and Serbs as the cause of all your problems. Start helping yourselves and stop teaching hatred.

Kosovo* is a done deal. It belongs to Serbia as a province according to Unscr 1244 until this is changed. 1244 is the only BINDING document until now. Everyone knows this. Otherwise there would not been all this negotiation, discussing, reports to UN, presence of UN (the big new compound on the left side on the way from Pristina to Kosovo Polje) in Kosovo etc etc.
Said before and again; pretend, wish and demand is one thing - reality is another.
Stay strong Vucic, not much have changed since 1999 when it comes to Kosovo. Kosovo belongs to Serbia and it will stay this way as long as the Unsc doesnt agree. Its a stalemate. Kosovo will not get more than 2-3 more recognitions, and the best thing Serbia should do is to start get countries to revoke recognitions. I believe 10-15 countries are realistic.

The deadline for joining the EU for Serbia will likely be 2030 at the very earliest. They have a lot of work to do.

You lost Kosovo and you lost the war. You will never see Kosovo back again. How about accept that instead? Kosovo is albanian territory and albanian land. Slavs have no place in an albanian Kosovo. Try to accept that ;)

The way Serbs are behaving one would think EU wants to join Serbia and not vice versa. Serbia has to do many things and democratize fast otherwise you'll end up like Turkey.

Serbia has no control over Kosovo. You lost it and you cant force other nations to revoke their recongnitions either. You are a gypsy country, you have no power or influnce at all. Serbia has no authority, no influnce, and no control over Kosovo. You cant do anything in Kosovo and Kosovo does not belong to anyone but to the people themselves. You cant own albanian territory. Only albanians can own it. Soon it will be time for Presheva valley to declare independence from serbia and join Kosovo. All albanian land will be united. You are done for good. Dont be a sore looser, just accept your loss :)

Exactly. Kosovo was not under Serbia's army control in the middle of 1999 and it is not under Serbia's army control today. So, yes, not much has changed.

Of course not for a trip to Mars you'd have to ask THE CHINESE.

The EU has vacillated, stalled and avoided making decisions about the integration of the Balkans and Serbia for years. It is fair for Serbia - a country at least as developed as Bulgaria and Romania - to ask, "Are you really going to let us in a when?" If the EU isn't going to allow Serbia to integrate in the near future it should have the decency to let the Serbs know so they decide if they want to wait or consider other options.

Serbia is wasting its time - and damaging itself and its economy - by going along with the EU prescription.
It should stay out like Switzerland, Iceland and many other non-EU countries which do fine.
EU didn't save Greece from all its problems. It doesn't save Italy from being inundated by the African migrant scam. It's all about centralizing power and key countries, such as Germany, benefit the most.
