I live near Jagodina city ,and see the development of Jagodina city from 10 to 5 years ago to now,as well more positions in employment.

Base -starting wage has gone up.from 20,000 dinars to 24,000 dinars in private sector .That is 20 per cent in 2 years .
Cost if living is the same cost.

sasa p,
Ten years ago Serbia was still a war zone. There should have been more improvement in the economy, but wasn't because of incompetent politicians. 24,000 dinars is peanuts compared to what it should be. If you were honest with yourself you would agree, instead you parrot the party line. As long as people like you insist on keeping their heads buried in the sand, the rest of Europe will laugh at us. You need more education!

If you lived in Serbia you would see our economy is stagnant. The promises of foreign investment are just that, thus far very few have come to fruition. Meanwhile, wages remain pitifully low, while pensions continue to be cut and unemployment remains dangerously high. Unfortunately, Ari, you extremely gullible.

Many people comment on Serbia's economical position without living in Serbia.

So Serbia's growth has been based on increased investment, exports and industrial production. Serbia is not indebting itself further to achieve this growth, all other countries are. In fact, no other country is attracting more investment right now in the region. Serbia will have a steady trajectory of growth if it continues this way while the other countries will fluctuate like Serbia used to do during the DS regime. (Ari Gold, 11 July 2017 06:37)

What makes Serbia's growth different is that the government has managed to stimulate growth while cutting spending. This is an extremely difficult feat. I have a number of criticisms towards the Vucic regime, but the fact is that Serbia is in a position to begin paying back its national debt starting next year at the same time that it is growing the economy.

As far as 'Kosovo*', you have to understand that Serbia's southern province grows its economy by remittances from the Albanian diaspora and international aid that it receives in the billions. In fact, the question should be why isn't 'Kosovo*' growing at a much faster rate with all the cash flow that it receives. Regardless, these are not healthy foundations for an increase of living standards.

Serbia is projected for 3% growth in 2017 and even higher next year, ranking it among the top of countries in Europe where growth is concerned.
(Ari Gold, 10 July 2017 18:17)

Well thats true. Serbia is indeed projected with 3% making Serbia lead the western balkans from behind according to the world bank. Almost all other countries in the western balkans have a higher growth rate as per the latest World Bank report on April 2017. Only Macedonia has a lower rating than Serbia. Albania, Kosovo, MNG, BiH all have a higher growth rate than Serbia. Guess which country is leading the pack :-) Republik of Kosovo / 3.9% in 2017

You should read the article again observer. It states that the WCO suspended "Kosova"*** on Serbia's request, which means they agreed with Serbia. It looks more like this "Kosova"*** project is heading towards the garbage dump of history. Something that was started by the three biggest warmongers in recent history (Clinton, Bush and Blair).
