Jugoslavija you are right , Serbia big progress for cut the debts + the account balance it have one of the best account balance + Serbia collect 40% of gdp .

The problem of Serbia is that the gdp per capita is low and me question is how that gdp will grow ?

Serbia have a good economical situacion only the gdp is small .

All in All you can`t compare in what had been through Serbia with Croatia

The facts are that from Yugoslav wars Serbia was the most destroyed

Croats woke up in a small country full of tourism

I fell sorry for Serbia because it had no chance , Croatia had many chances and barely got out of recension , even Montenegro had chances

You have to be stupid to have the legacy of Croatia and to be in recension and to get as consumption under Romania at least Serbia was destroyed it lost seea from Croatia , see from Montenegro it not was accepted in Union European , it was bombed and so on

Both Croatia and Serbia have to lower the GDP Per Capita debt levels and unemployment, Serbia is doing a much better job lately on both. As far as the "leader of the Balkans" on paper, Romania would be the choice but the wage gap between the rich and poor is much higher along with lower international investment or capital inflows. Bulgaria is in the same boat with Greece investing heavily in the IT industry in Bulgaria. Greece on the other hand is essentially bankrupt and the corrupt government of Tsipras is not doing anything other than lowering pensions.

Croatian tourism this year is growing by 31% over last year. Which last year the best ever it will add billions of Euros in to Croatian coffers. Gives the Croatian economy a big boost with demand of over 5 million more tourist this year for goods and services.
(Lenard, 6 July 2017 01:23)

Lenny, the number of tourists in Croatia for June was very low and a total loss for that month so the only boost that occurred was Croatian BS by 200%.

If anything the Serbian migration considering its not a E.U member is massive. Every year Serbian towns and villages disappear forever as Serbs refuse to have children and apply to live elsewhere. The minute the E.U accepts Serbia it will be the Serbs flooding Germany and not the Syrians. Go figure ✌
(Chaos AD, 6 July 2017 10:44)

The Serbian economy was destroyed by the west and the reason why people leave is because there are no jobs in cities and in villages there is no point producing on a large scale because they have no point of sale.
However, with the industrialization of Serbia that will change very soon. Serbia is the only part of the old Yugoslavia where massive invest is taking place. As far as population is concerned once jobs are there that can turn around with 5 years with government incentive.

Yeah I did notice how Croatia is working on its economy while arguing with Slovenia then having disagreement with Hungary over a couple of issue then its problems with BiH not to mention Serbia. Hope I did not leave anyone out here.

The only economy Croatia has is called the EU fund because without it Croatia would look like Somalia. If you believe otherwise your playing with your doodle.

When was the last time anything was opened up in Croatia, chemical industry, car or car parts manufacturing? When? Croatian are leaving at the rate of 2,000 to 3,000 per month this year while last year it was 200,000. Is this all because of the good life in Croatia?

All HRTV shows is Croats blaming one another in Parliament about who stole what.

Serbia is not in a contest with Croatia or any other country. All that matters for Serbia is that people live comfortable, happy and secure lives. If Croats have more comfort, more happiness, and greater security, then good for them. Unfortunately neither Serbs nor Croats have the lives they want and nor do they have the prosperity and security they once enjoyed in Yugoslavia.

There are many factors which will contribute to Serbia’s future success and they are not all achievable overnight. One of the key factors is having large, rich, and reliable trading partners. Serbia has the chance to tie into the Russian-Chinese trading bloc and to become an important hub in the centre of Europe. I believe Serbia should seize this opportunity and leave the failing and corrupt EU to fester in its own excrement.

sj

pre 6 godina

Not just Croatia but Slovenia as well. However, it not too difficult to show how that occurs. For example, Croatia puts in 3 billion Euros into the EU fund then withdraws 6 billion Euros over a 12 month period. However, with the UK leaving the EU fund will shrink dramatically.

If anyone thinks that Croatia has an actual advantage over Serbia, one only has to look at the migration rates out of Croatia to scuttle that idea, 200,000 last year while in 2017 its 2,000/3,000 per month.
