Why would we choose them as allies now that we're completely surrounded by NATO? Do we want war?

We can be great friends with Russia and China ,as well good friends with EU ,British and USA .))
When you live in Serbia for 4 years full-time ,then you can comment about Serbian international affairs ))
It doesn't matter that you are not a ethnic Serb ,but as long as you live in Serbia for a while before giving your comments while sitting in Australia relaxing, don't!!!

In politics there is no friends, their is interests, Serbs needs Russians, Russians doesn't needs Serbs, Serbs needs the money of Ue to be under orders, Americans needs Serbs to surround the Balkans to undermine the Russians, and Serbs needs to do what they have orders to do.
Otherwise they will be on the wall and all Serbs Politicians ejected, Serbs Politicians are puppets as Serbia doesn't have anything to survive, as the Serbs Politicians are taking their own interests before the interest of Serbia, means steal money and shut up and do what we tell you to do. Simple as that. I forgot the most important Americans stole Kosovo from Serbia and nobody can open is mouth.

Because sometimes we have to.
We can try to keep civil relationships with some even though they are clearly out to subdue us because we can't match their strength and influence but we can never count on them.
Then we have Russia. Russia is like no other country for us. They will always be there for us as much as situation permits. We know that Russians consider us brothers and they simply would not stand for any government of theirs betraying us.
We have good relations with other countries as well but none like Russia. This relationship is unique. Even England and the US have been on opposite sides at one time and US was settled by the English first which made them the same people. This is a reason others find it had to understand our bond. Two brothers have wars against each other and think we are the same as them. Serbs are one with Russia.
Only a fool would turn their back on them.
