Croatia is doing so good that 65,000 people are losing their jobs this year and last year 40,000 lost their jobs while in Serbia the unemployment dropped to 15%from 21% so whose doing good...
(serbia growing, 20 June 2017 19:06)

Whose doing good? Well, Croatia is doing better than Serbia since the unemployment rate in Croatia is about 11% whereas, according to you, the unemployment rate in Serbia is 15%

P.S. A lower unemployment rate is better :)

The people who don't want Serbia in the EU are INSANE. Look at our EU neighbors: Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia all MUCH better off than us. Look at specifically Bulgaria and Romania. They were the same as Serbia a decade ago. Now, they are much richer, with much better infrastructure, much faster growth, much more competitive in the business world, many more investments go there, they are turning into IT leaders, etc etc. We are getting left in the dust by these countries.

We will be lucky to join the EU in the next 20 years. We will always be behind our neighbors (in the same tier as Albania and Bosnia), but at least we will start to actually GROW and DEVELOP.

Not true. Slovenia is (was) more like central Europe, and Croatia is "close" to central Europe too. Slovenia was lucky because it didn't border Serbia.

On the issue of investing in Croatia, Jadranka Kosor was asked on HRTV in 2010 why more effort was not made to attract industry/investment to employ people? Her response was Croatia was too small a country and investor were not interested. That has not changed, but what has added to their problems is that Croatians are now seen as a racist/fascists people and no one will touch them with a barge pole. Their only saving grace is the Germans (and they are towards their end of their patience with Croatia) and the Vatican.
Slovenia is an even smaller place so they have even less chance. If it wasn’t for the EU both Slovenia and Croatia would look like Chad and that is the truth.
On the subject of the UK leaving the EU, it will fare worse once it goes because standard of living will drop and their position in the world stage will be about the same as Slovenia. I don’t like the EU but the Brits have pulled the wrong rein.
The EU will not be very accommodating when negotiating with the UK.

A little anecdote. I was returning from Belgrade on a wonderful Air Serbia flight, and i was sat next to 2 British gentleman who went to the same school as me. We got talking and they couldn't stress strongly enough that they hoped Serbia never joined the EU. They had invested heavily in Croatia prior to it joining, and things were going well, until they joined. After that everything became more bureaucratic, more expensive and harder to do business. They got out at a loss.
They are now investing in Serbia and are delighted with the experience.

Personally, I have been against it from the start, but it was always this taunting from Albanians and Croats that Serbia would have recognise Kosovo and settle matters with Croatia before talks even commence.
However, with the UK leaving the EU has to change otherwise it will crack into pieces. We now have Hungary, Austria, Slovenia with borders thus making Schengen a joke. Hungary Poland and the Czechs have told Brussels to take a flying leap when instructed to take in refugees and that’s even with the threat of sanctions by Brussels.
Serbia will enter the EU with all it wants kept in place such as free trade agreements with Russia and China. Its joined in China’s road and belt project. China has made Serbia its base from which it will expand.
Croatia is not the same as Serbia. It is financial a nonviable state regardless of the BS sold to the general public. Croatia puts in 3 billion Euros in the EU fund but it withdraws 6 billion over a year from that same fund.
That is why Croatia has to bend over ever time Brussels wants something.

You Serbs would sell your mothers for E.U cash. Even if you do get into the E.U the Serbs will be celebrating their exit from Serbia moving to Germany or France as quickly as possible.

Another two chapters despite not recognizing Kosovo nor settling anything with Croatia LOL. Loved the way the stupid Ustash stuck their necks out by not signing the agreement to start EU negotiations with Serbia then getting a real arse kicking from Berlin. I understand Brussels has an electronic copy of Croatia foreign minister's signature so they will not ask them any more LOL. I'd say that another two will be done before the end of this year.
