That's why they want to take Northern part of Kosovo where most of the Serbs are, disgusting Albanians and Germanomericans. THIEVES.

@count of Kosovo- Reality? The reality is foreign powers control the land of K&M, they have put you Albanians "in charge", but actually you are slaves and they have made you "believe" like you are your own masters...laughable, if not so sad. Your "authorities" in Pristina, instead of being smart and hammering out a deal with BG, have swallowed the hook the West has thrown out to you and now you actually think you have a say in what happens in Kosovo;) The time will come, it always does, when the Kool-Aid will wear off and you will see you have been used, abused and will be spit out like bubble gum without flavor. Sad, but THATS reality!! Time is not your friend! and you think Hardinaj will "lead" you into the future?;))REALLY??

The Count of Kosova,

Who are those "powerful players and participants in the political and economic market" who call the shots in Kosovo?
Read the sentences above the one you have quoted.

"When it comes to the Trepca, it is about a natural resource and its exploitation with unforeseeable economic and environmental consequences in the interest of some foreign companies. And they are making the key moves. "

Foreign companies!

Tycoons and such. No reason for you to weep, of course - you are one of them, most likely. Count, or Duke, or something like that.
Ordinary people, Serbs or Albanians have reason to week, you are right about that.
What's in it for them?

"Unforeseeable economic and environmental consequences" of course.

Beware of Trepca....

Trepca is a Serbian own mining company, it cannot be sold by Albanians... Any potential buyer will loose their money in any transaction regarding Trepca because it is not for sale... It's like me selling the Eiffel Tower, I am not the owner and the person buying will loose their money...

Any foreign corporation or company seeking to illegally engage in mining or exploiting the natural resources of Kosovo will be taken before the courts and its assets seized... If a foreign coropoation wishes to engage in criminal activity and fraud against the Serbs, then it is the duty of every Serb living in a foreign country to engage in protests against these criminal corporations, some Serbs may find it in their interests to attack these company's physically, by attacking the CEOs or heads of the company's, some might launch cyber attacks, others Might seize equipment or destroy facilities and some might see justice in stealing from these foreign corporations as they steal from Serbia... If a thief steals your wallet and you steal it back, does that also make you a thief...?

Beware or Trepca....

How boring. Yet another 'Dead Cat' strategy to divert everyone from more pressing issues. BA is right, it is fool's gold. The only fly may be if a gigantic mining conglomerate buys it (in the potential face of constant legal challenges from Belgrade and being banned from Serbia too), it has a super long concession and Pristina keeps its corrupt little mitts of it and doesn't try to milk it for economic or political capital. Not going to happen. I'll add the Kosovo B power plant modernization project and the supposed replacement for Kosovo A, 'Kosova Re'. Couldn't organize a cock up in a brothel!

Then why does Kosovo have to negotiate for everything and hope Uncle Sam approves? I don't think you really know what you're talking about.

The problem with Pristina's repeated attempts at seizing control of assets and industries it doesn't own is that the expected scenarios envisioned by Albanians see some sort of economic boom, when in fact there is no evidence to suggest already-controlled industries are producing any results. In the absolute best scenario, Pristina seizes Trepca and immediately puts it on eBay for the highest bidder. That's all they want. They'll be more than happy if a company like Bechtel buys it wholesale because all the profits go to whoever is in power. This has absolutely nothing to do with jump starting Kosovo's would-be economy.

Take the Brezovica ski resort. For years, Pristina has been hoping some international consortium would buy it. Trouble is, no one wants to buy businesses in Kosovo when the corruption factor is equivalent to that of Nigeria. Plus, any industry that can be disputed by Belgrade as legally theirs risks tying up money in courtroom wrangling.

One need look no further than the white elephant that is the Bechtel-run Pristina-Tirana highway that is costing 5 times more than its estimate and taking three times the expected duration to build. Add in materials for the highways suddenly disappearing and ending up a part of some PDK tycoon's front yard landscape, and it's easy to see Pristina has no plans for making any industry for the "people" of Kosovo. They'd sell Trepca for scrap metal and pocket 100,000 euros if it was guaranteed them.

Ari Gold aka sj and Watcher,

Read it and weep:

The power of the government of Serbia de facto is none. When it comes to economic processes, what powerful players and participants in the political and economic market do and want is what will be happening in Kosovo," said Draskovic.

Isn't it time to take your heads out of the sand and face reality.

Accept the the harsh reality, you will never occupy Kosova again, not in a million years, not in this world and the world after that. Its over. Almost 20 years have passed and serbia has neither authority or power in our country and will never have it in the future. Your wasting time and nothing else. This is our land. Not yours. The end
