Informer publishes mostly fiction, and it gets more outrageous each time. We have been told there is imminent war 12 times since February.
They have published lists of "enemies" and people on those lists have been followed and also assaulted afterwards.
They have told us about attempted coups and attempted assassinations on Vucic.

Of course there are trash newspapers everywhere, but only maybe the Daily Mail in the UK has the same influence and support of a government.
I think this is the biggest read paper in Serbia. Imagine how many people read this garbage daily and possibly believe some of what is printed.

And no, it is not the same as New York Times publishing occasionally wrong articles or opinion pieces that you disagree with.
If you cannot tell the difference there is no hope for you.

No one will attack Vucicevic or his staff because of what Scott has said. It is my opinion that people have been attacked because of Informer articles and dog whistling to the bigots in Serbia.

Ok, then as a private citizen, I can say Informer is indeed "trash". I understand media outlets need their clickbait to get readers, but it is a far cry from integral journalism.

But if Vucicevic wants to prove in court what Informer wrote that the EU plans to "halt and make difficult" Serbia's membership negotiations "because some officials do not like the way Aleksandar Vucic leads Serbia.", but all means, he is welcome to give it a try lol

I don't imagine that Informer magazine will be seeking my advice, but if they did I would suggest checking their bank balance before attempting to sue an American diplomat in an American court for what amounts to the exercise of freedom of speech. Whether the language used was appropriate or not for a diplomat is moot, using inappropriate language is not going to result in a conviction in a court of law.

I am sure in Serbia there have been more journalists that were killed or assaulted than anywhere else in the region.

In that case you might want to send a petition to Serbia's parliament and request them to change Serbia's laws to forbid freedom of speech of everybody in Serbia's territory who is not a citizen of Serbia.
