Macedonia will become NATO's 30th member - Zaev

For as long as Fyromanians call their country "Macedonia", they will never be in NATO. Greece would veto any attempt easily ;)

I a man Greek and I am appalled at how my country members deny basic human rights. I believe that the Macedonians can call the,selves what they like. We weren't even called Greece 180 years ago.

It's time our corrupt politicians stop feeding Greek people nationalistic hatred to avoid the lies they have told us for decades.

The Bulgarian speaking Slavs of Fyrom will never be part of NATO, EU, or recognized in the UN unless they change their name to a historically correct one. They will also need to change their flag and encompass Albanian as an official language alongside Bulgarian. They must drop all Irrendentist rhetoric and the Antiquization process must be reversed. The minute all these demands are complied with they will be embraced as an active member of Europe, a key member of NATO and an officially recognized member of the EU. historical correctness is paramount in any territories nation building and unfortunately FYROM has been contaminated by ultranationalist policies that have serve as a hindrance in its developement.

Clown Zaev and his Tirana Platform claims no border changes once in EU, his name should be Neiva not Zaev. Macedonia has to have a new election after his fraudulence with the Tirana platform presented after the election. He is just a slimy piece of crap!

Macedonia will face multiple veto’s to its membership into NATO from Greece, Albania & Bulgaria.

To avoid there vetos, Macedonia will need to:

1.Change their Name from ‘Republic of Macedonia’ to ‘Republic of Vardar’ to remove the Greek veto,

2.Make Albanian an official language of Macedonia, change the flag to include the Albanian black eagle, change the anthem and include Albanian only verses, change the currency, and rewrite the constitution of Macedonia to say that Albanian were a ‘founding ethnic group’ of Macedonia (even though in WW2 they partitioned Macedonia, and had nothing to do with the establishment of Macedonia within the Yugoslav framework, and in 1991 Albanians actually boycotted the Macedonian referendum on independence presumably because they wanted to remain in Yugoslavia,) once all this is done Albania will remove its veto,

3.And to avoid a Bulgarian veto, Macedonia will need to rewrite (or harmonise as the EU puts it) the official history of Macedonia with Bulgaria, and modify their constitution to say that Macedonians are ethnic Bulgarians, and re-name the Macedonian language to ‘West-Bulgarian’.

So in Summary the ‘Republic of Macedonia’ will never become a Member of NATO, however the ‘Republic of Vardar’, which would presumably be some type of Albanian/Bulgarian federation might become the 30th member. But if that’s the cost for NATO membership, I vote no thank you.

They will forcefully remove and repress the Macedonian nationalist faction and replace it with one the accepts the Greek position on the so called name dispute. The nationalists will be rounded up and slaughted like buffalo fleeing a buffalo hunt. It will be interesting to see what "inviolability of borders" means in relation to the Albanian national minority issue under NATO control.

I am from 'Macedonia' but I agree with my country's educated that we are not really Macedonian. People from my country know this deep down, but still prefer to keep this myth alive. Lets solve the name issue by taking a name which rightfully belongs to Greevlce, and enter NATO to protect ourselves against countries like Albania that want to destabilize us.

FYROM has every right to join NATO and EU if they so wish to.
But Greece also has every right to block these aspirations when FYROM claims Greek territory and history. So it is not just changing the name, its changing the psyche of a whole nation that has been fed lies since Tito's era.

Just like France vetoed the UK when they wanted to join as 'Great Britain' so does Greece have every right to veto.

If they insist on using the name 'Macedonia' in their description the most honest and geographically correct name would be, "REPUBLIC NORTH OF MACEDONIA"
