William Walker is a former CIA operative that helped trigger the attack on Serbia in 1999. He and he friend Thaci murdered 40 villagers and then blamed the Serbs.
For his good works Walker was rewarded with a directorship of a construction company which won contracts to build roads in Albania and parts of Kosovo.
For those unfamiliar of how things work I’ll explain. At the end of Walker’s term as an agent he would have been offered a cash payment of say several million dollars or he could continue working and make much more. It’s obvious he wanted to make more.
If the Albanians believe he will unite them then they deserve all they get since last time he cost many Albanian lives.

Finally someone who is neither Serb or Albanian who has been in Kosovo in the war and witnessed how Serbish thugs killed women and children. Unification will come sooner or later that's nothing Serbia can do about it. Better accept it now and try to focus on your own country.

The evidence presented to the Hague demonstrated that bullet holes in bodies did not have holes in the clothes, proving Racak was staged. Dead terrorists were dressed up as civilians.

I must say though, I really believe Albanians will be united should they attempt to create greater Albania. That unification will most likely end up being in Turkey.

But you should be interested to know that the Račak massacre was added by the ICTY prosecutors in an amended indictment but was subsequently dropped from the case, due to lack of evidence to support the accusation.

The Finnish report was kept secret by the EU, obviously hiding something.

Remember, this was used as justification for bombing Serbia and it ended up being a hoax. Just like weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

What's the point. Albanians in ex Yugoslavia want it to happen, yet Albanians from Albania are on the fence about it. Both Kosovo and Albania have conducted surveys and the people weren't very supportive of the idea.

First and foremost, much ado about nothing. Every Balkan group has at least one American ex-policymaker now working as a "lobbyist" for them and the only thing they accomplish is pulling in a substantial paycheck to come up with ideas that make their constituents giddy with irredentist glee but never goes beyond rhetorical ideas. Serbs have it, Croats have it, even Bosnian Muslims have it. They may hold a conference every so often, but these people are rarely taken seriously by anyone other than their ethnic competitors.

Second, these people often sell themselves out to the least reputable sections of society. If Walker is attending an anniversary ceremony for the founding of AAK, then he's clearly not working within formal US policy. I'd be curious to read what little gems of policy recommendation he offers since I've never heard of him before but can imagine his need for ego stroking has led him down some embarrassing paths as comes up with visions of a future that will never exist for Albanians all to get praise and recognition from a minute percentage of Albanian political society.

Lastly, American lobbyists come quite cheap. He probably knows, and is friends with, someone who works for the "Greater Serbia lobby", of which there is a well-organized presence in Washington that works to make RS as self-sufficient from Sarajevo as possible.

In a way I almost have to respect America for making money off of other people's nationalism.

You must understand the difference between the ITCY Tribunal and a proper Court. In a proper Court, there are rules of what is admissible and what is not. Police and the prosecution must follow a strict set of rules and guidelines to show cause why an individual is guilty of a certain crime(s).
