After the Australian defence department decided to buy the Austrian Steyr AUG A1, it took two years and over $1 million to fix all the problems with that rifle.
I am always weary of overly-promoted western weaponry when you can buy much better more reliable and cheaper alternatives somewhere else. The M16 is a great example, where it was promoted as the best in the world until Iraq where US troops had to use Kalashnikovs because sand jammed the M16.
You only have to look at the so called superior F35 fighter plane, which has trouble flying in wet weather, unable to communicate with other aircraft, grounded on a regular basis due to engine problems, but is touted as the best on earth.
When you add two and two it always comes out as pure corruption. Some people in Serbian defence is getting money under the table for this.

Why not? I’d be very happy to wear it. Too bad we were not as genocidal as it’s claimed because if we were you would not be on a Serbian media site but fertilizing a field somewhere in Kosovo and thus free of your daily rants LOL.

"Makes no sense for Serbia to buy NATO weapons. As soon as NATO want to attack all they have to do is stop the supply of bullets and spare parts. But Tony cares nothing for Serbia and everything for his bank balance.

Ammo is mostly 7.62. Serbia makes the ammo type. Also used in the new Ak's and most modern rifles... No need to worry about them shipping ammo as Zastava can make it.

The Serbian military has been using the SCAR for some time now. It's been used by the police battalion Cobra. They have been using both the light "L" and heavy "H" versions. It's also used by Bosnia and Croatia.

The war criminal, Tony Blair, is desperate to become a billionaire oligarch. Might be one his deals.

Well the Americans have screwed up everything from Afghanistan to Libya and these rifles have not helped them. Seriously, I wonder who is getting a cut out of this deal?

Sadly you can smell corruption very strongly here.
