what the referendum exhibited is not how strong erdo is, but how deeply divided turkey is. A crazy egomaniac will just accelerate the unavoidable dismantling.

Of course it is more clear now that turkey has no place in Europe. It belongs to the middle east and it should stay there.

It's a primitive approach as the Ottomans ruled half of the world for centuries and they were very different in 15 and in 19 centuries. In 15 the Haes People whom we call Armenians and the Hellenic People who have privatized word Greek were organic and reliable parts of the Empire that was a pure Orthodox empire at the time. But in Tanzimat Period of 19 century everything has changed for the worse and here I can partly agree.

The Slavic Yanissaries (30 000 !) were massacred and the real Muslim terror started. Only we have to keep in mind that Europe and Russia did a lof for it all to happen. Anyways Erdongan has zero chance to gain 10% of the power that the sultans enjoyed. Even the mentioned Yanissaries in fact were not NEW ARMY as we are told but IOANA SARIA voisko = ИВАНА ЦАРЯ ВОЙСКО ... In Russia they were called STRELTSY (СТРЕЛЬЦЫ) and the MUSKETEERS in Europe.

This ludicrous situation has been going on for far too long and it’s time to bury the idea that Turkey ever has or had a chance of joining the EU.
The worst mistake the US made was its half-arsed effort at removing Erdogan and believe me it was half arsed at best. The Russians saved him and with this “win” Erdogan will wield enormous power and change the direction of Turkey from the west to Moscow.
How could they screw this simple situation up? One can only shake one’s head at US incompetence and ineptitude. They actually wonder why they are losing on all fronts.
