Pristina wants UN mission in Kosovo shut down

Pristina wants a lot of things these days that they're just not going to get. One almost has to admire these lil beggars in thinking they have any executive decision-making :)

Pristina officials say that the mission's work is "not productive,"

Then it fits perfectly to the Pristina government, whose bigges achievement was to turn Kosovo into Europe's drug hub and to make it one of the most corrupt places in Europe.

You only need to read some of the comments posted here to appreciate why they are not trusted by the international community.

THIS is funny. UN CANNOT leave the province. Its a catch 22. Kosovo is not a country. Its a disputed province belonging to Serbia. And the only BINDING document is UNSCR 1244 whether one like it or not. China and Russia will unlikely change 1244.

Is this the same dysfunctional "Pristina" that wants visa-free access to the EU for citizens that don't carry Serbian travel travel documents?

Serbian citizens from Kosovo that reside in Kosovo (Serb or Albanian) are not part of visa-free travel. Serbia agreed many years ago.

UN mission today does nothing, all its functions have been transferred to Kosovo authorities or EULEX.

Not long ago Serbia wanted UN out and KFOR now they want them there....!

All the illegal Albanians must leave too. Albanians made Kosovo once a beautiful and quaint area full of Serbian history and peaceful monasteries into the biggest bordello narco slum in Europe.

As you most probably know, it doesn't really matter if there are 5, 50 or 150 recognitions. As long as the permanent members of the UNSC doesn't recognize Kosovo as an own country, it will not be one. I think you know this already since it has been discussed so many years. I beg you to read the resolution.

Serbian citizens who apply with the Interior ministry receive Serbian passports. Many residents of KiM obtain passports from the Interior ministry that enable visa-free access to the Schengen zone. Well, it won't be a country for those UNSC permanent members which do not recognize it, and it will be a country for those UNSC permanent members that do recognize it. The recognition of a new State or Government is an act that only other States and Governments may grant or withhold.
