4 killed in "international terrorism-inspired" London attack

This happened about 500 metres from my work - truly horrifying that ordinary people going about their business have been killed or seriously injured by a religious fanatic.

The emergency services did a fantastic job and responded with amazing speed.

Unbelievable that in 2017 people are driven to kill as their minds have been poisoned by centuries old fairy stories.

Its truly horrifying to see that happening, and for me its even more real because last September I walked past that area. My sympathies to all affected.

But why are we surprised? These same people were supported in Bosnia during the 1990s and sadly what goes around comes around.

There is no heaven for terrorists to go to. That is just part of their mythology.

Faith = Ignorance. Faith only applies when you can't be sure.

They waste their lives for an ignorant cause.

There is a difference between soldiers and terrorists.

Terrorists are murderers, and even if God existed, he wouldn't want those thugs.

bob, just for curiosity sake, what exactly is the difference between a soldier and a terrorist?

both take pay of some sort
both are sworn to follow their own dogmas
both will kill people for the betterment of their organization
both kill soldiers
both target soldiers
both kill civilians
both target civilians when they deem it necessary
both go through what their commanders deem appropriate training
both follow their own chain of command

one is paid, and controlled by a un-recognized organization (state/nation)
one is paid, and controlled by a non-un-recognized organization

both believe that they are righteous in their actions
both have been indoctrinated to do what they're told to, to not question the wisdom of their superiors.

both bring terror to those that are being attacked, or threatened

perhaps it is the case that soldiers will kill fewer civilians per soldier than will a terrorist
perhaps it is the case that soldiers will rape fewer civilians per soldier than will a terrorist

the difference isn't nearly as large as we would like to believe it is. we just like to feel good about our implicit implications in the deaths of civilians because our paid fighters work for us, protect us, wear our emblazoned uniforms and follow our political preferences. we accept that ours will kill others in the name of us, and our lives and lifestyles. they accept that theirs will do the same thing.

Despite these idiotic and heartless terrorists who are so called 'muslims', Islam is still the fastest growing religion in the world as its a religion which promotes peace and love. A small minority have used it to further their disgusting beliefs that anyone not a Muslim deserves pain and death. Please don't stereotype this to be all Muslims as it is not true. The people become Muslims are the ones who have read the Quran and know it is the only miracle on earth today. The Prophet M had many great saying which promoted love and peace towards neighbours, friends, colleagues, old and young, basically the human race. He spoke about the importance of charity and helping others. He never condoned violence unless it was a threat towards Is lam. That was Jihad (sacrifice) in them days as there were only a handful of Muslims and killing them meant Islam would have been wiped out. This isn't possible nowadays and the sacrifice these days is waking up for morning prayer eg. Not death.
