@Michael Thomas. So why is Serbia getting Chinese companies to do all these new construction jobs? What is the benefit or point? I would imagine that these contracts would employ a lot of Serbs.

This just shows how messed up the world really is. Serbia has lots of companies that have built motorways all over the former Yugoslavia and around the world. They have millions of unemployed and under employed workers. Serbia does not need China to build its roads for Euros which Serbia does not have. Serbia should do what the Chinese do, do what the Americans do, do what the British do, what the Japanese do, and what the Germans do. Serbia should do some "quantitative easing" and print Dinars which can be used to employ a Serbian workers to build roads in Serbia.
I expect the usual people will respond to this proposal with the usual comments: "inflation" "economic mumbo-jumbo." But the reality is that this proposal is being used in all the successful countries of the world. If it is good enough for them, then why not for Serbia?
