Deserved is a hell of a term to use there. After 150 years of genocide (beginning, in all earnesty, in the 1870's) absolutely decimated the Serbian population in Kosovo so that they now represent only a token minority, "deserves" is not quite the word I would use there. Kosovo, modern Kosovo, has no respect for minorities or for its' Serbian cultural history. "Deserves" is the last word I would use, frankly. One hopes that those living in Kosovo (basically 95 % ethnically homogeneous Albanian) live with regret and shame for what was done to their minorities in modern times, namely Serbs.

I am personally not for Albanians having Kosovo, but the reality is they do. More importantly they’ve been there a very long time. Yes, many many came from Ljume, Albania, but there has always been people there that spoke a language which later was called Albanian. They were vlach and or illyria tribes that united at some point to form the albanian ethno. Slavs that came there in the 6th cen were not Serbs. They were Slavs from the Ukraine side of migration.Serbs came to Kosovo later and more towards the western parts; Pec, Istok etc. Some Slavs became Albanian, but many became Slavs/Serbs. At some pt, it will be recognized by the state, that's just the reality. albanians sadly are more united/determined for their cause than us and thats the difference. they have a stronger culture as well.we are sellouts! we wish our neighbors cattle to die so they wont succeed.they came together in a time of need, and an albanian will not go back on his word even when helping a Serb. for us to be united we need to change as a cultural society first, and we're not nowhere near that point. every serb is right and pounds his chest but doesn't do jack other than talk loud infront of guests.

Yes, many many came from Ljume, Albania, but there has always been people there that spoke a language which later was called Albanian. They were vlach and or illyria tribes that united at some point to form the albanian ethno. Slavs that came there in the 6th cen were not Serbs. They were Slavs from the Ukraine side of migration.Serbs came to Kosovo later and more towards the western parts; Pec, Istok etc. Some Slavs became Albanian, but many became Slavs/Serbs. The hope for a future for Kosovo's people to raise their kids and to make a decent living is based on being independent from Serbia. The US supported Kosovo to achieve that and that is good enough for Kosovo. Whether that is good enough or not for a certain Watcher, Kosovo could not care less :)

That settlement has been found already. According to Serbia, Serbia is happy that Kosovo is Serbia. Kosovo is also happy that it is independent from Serbia. So this is an arrangement that works for both parties. So who needs to find a settlement and for what?!
