Aleksandar Vucic has hinted, during his news conference with <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics.php?yyyy=2017&mm=02&dd=17&nav_id=100540" class="text-link" target= "_blank">the visiting Austrian chancellor</a>, that he would not remain at the helm of the government for long.

Aleksandar Vučić has absolutely nothing to be worried about. He is strongly backed by the EU and foreign money. He has the Serbian press and media strictly under his control. The opposition is splitted. Too many believe that Vučić really is the ”only alternative”. When Vučić is president, the prime minister becomes merely a ceremonial figure. But to please his Western masters, Vučić will put a woman in this position. 30 years of ”vučićism” will twist Serbia to an unrecognizable image of itself. First symptoms are already detectable in Belgrade.

Though Vucic might be a slight improvement over Nikolic, due to his more rational approach to Russia, I believe this was all preordained with the goal of having both of them in the second round of the election, because Vucic knows very well if he ends up in a runoff with anyone else, he will lose.
