It's not true. Serbia it's taunting purposely to start a war in northern Kosovo, they are willing to sacrifice a few lives , just to put their hands in the northern part . Trepça it's their goal , not the serbs living in Kosovo.

President Nikolic, was first one to mention war few weeks earlier, after blow on the face train fiasco show off, and now he cannot keep his mouth shut, in trying to convince Serbian people he adverted a war.

However, if Serbian politicians continue with this type of rhetorics and there is no Serbian spring soon, every sensible person knows very well Serbia is going to be next Syria of Balkans.

Not sure why but he is only person talking about war!!

what was encouraging to me is that last two weeks in B92 Serbian version from people living in Serbia all year long not just during summer holiday patriots - totally rejected war and have had enough of crazy nationalism.

Let's face it Serbia has no plan nor has ever had a plan to include Kosovo Albanians in Serbian state. As a country with a minority that would equal 30% of population who speak different language and a candidate for EU just think rules and things you would have to accept.

Are you prepared to have new constitution with Albanians being equal partners in this country Serbia, reserved seats, Albanian as official language of Serbia etc etc etc, then providing money to a region and people you do not see as equals.

The truth is Serb politicians like Kosovo as it is as they use it during election and then they distract poor people with nationalism.

If I was a Serb from North I would give anything to stay part of Kosovo as moment that part would join Serbia they would be as relevant as Serbs in Vranje or Raska you never see them getting special salary or live with not paying for electricity, phone etc.

just think of instead of Serbska you have Albanska party in Serbia that gets 30% of vote and starts blocking shit and building walls and have Albanian battalions in military and no Serbian Police can go to Albanian areas nor military are you ready for it?

I agree. Nobody in Serbia wants 30% population of ethnic Albanians. If Kosovo was to rejoin Serbia, within a year Serbia would be begging them to declare independence again.

The politicians and policy makers know that it is impossible to for Kosovo to peacefully rejoin Serbia. Most Serbs know this too, however there is a vocal minority that refuses to see this and any politician that speaks the truth will be accused of being a traitor and will not get elected. About 50% of this vocal minority live abroad enjoying "western" living conditions while preaching to those in Serbia about how terrible the West is.

If Serbia were to invade and annex Kosovo, the first task would have to be to remove a minimum of 1 million non-Serbs . Do you think other countries would stand by as Serbia started mass-deportations and executions of civilians again.
Not to mention the many Islamic fighters in Kosovo returning from the Middle East.

There could have been a conflict over the train. I doubt war but possibly a few deaths. Nikolic couldn't care less about dead Serbs or Albanians, he would just use their deaths to get more votes.
