The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia has said that politicians "should be responsible and not undermine the friendship between Macedonia and Serbia."
There have been some interesting debates on here since I last checked in Friday, january 6th.
Njegos - The introduction to the MOC definitely divided the population from Sar Planina/Tetovo area. This divide is obvious in the Detroit area, where about 25,000 from Tetovo live. The villagers from my village (Vratnica), today number about 3,000. The rest of the Tetovo diaspora (for the most part), built a MOC, however, we Vratnicani built a Serbian Church 4miles away. So to your question, you can see how great this divide was between peoples.
Makedonec - If true what you saw/claim about Bulgarian ethnicity, we would have to look and analysis the situation back then. Did they have some kind of Ottoman passport, and selecting Serb was not an option back then. The Turks FEARED greatly unification of all Serb people (or people that supported a Serbian state). I sent you those links and you saw first hand, that people in the mid 1800s had selected schooling in Serbian. So the fact that you saw/or have what you have in terms of documentation, does not mean they felt Bulgarian. Kinda like today's Macedonian that gets a Bulgarian passport. To his greatgreatgrand children 110yrs from today, they'll think he was Bulgarian (on paper). Take that with a grain of salt. The fact/s are; people from Polog begged the King of Serbia to save them from Bulgars and Turks, Serbian schools, volunteers in the Serb army etc etc. When not forced the village chose Serbia and Serbdom!!

The opinions of the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Soros, Clinton on the matter, if any, can safely be ignored as nobody has appointed them to be a court, except perhaps for a certain Leonidas who appears to be the only one who cares about their opinions.
And, of course, a certain Leonidas being a nobody, his/her opinion can safely be ignored, as well.
As for the Greeks, they have never elected a certain Leonidas to speak on their behalf regarding Karadzic, so said Leonidas can safely be ignored on that, too.

You're not going to find anyone from the nearby villages that fought for VMRO/Illinden uprising etc.
Also, most people in Macedonia do not celebrate a Slava; however, the one's that do (aka....the village of Vratnica and immediate surrounding villages), did so on their own free will. These Slava's were not forced by the SOC, because if they were people in Debar/Ohrid/Prespa/Bitola would also celebrate Slava. All those aforementioned cities fell within the SOC in the middle ages (up until its abolishment in the late ~18th c).

The bib in your mouth needs to be straightened out. Here is the reality Greece and Serbia doesn't give a damn about FYROM, is has nothing of value other than some Paprika farms and of course the Serbian Monastery in Ochrid where the greatest Serbian Monk Nikolaj Velimirovic venerated. FYROM on the other hand is laying claim to Macedonia proper in Greece including Thessaloniki. That is when FYROM will be wiped off Europe as an entity. As well, the so called Autocephalous Macedonian Church is not recognized by Bartholomew and the head of the Orthodox Church in Istanbul.

These comments are welcome. They should be a sobering reminder to Macedonians about what Serbs are really like. The Serbian-Greek alliance is very old and remains in place. Macedonians in the past shed much blood to fight against the occupation of Macedonia by these two states. Hell, we even killed the Serbian King with the help of our Croatian brothers. Let's not forget that the Macedonian Orthodox Church remains un-recognized to this day, due to the objections of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The Macedonian Orthodox Church operates freely in Croatia, but cannot operate in Serbia. Macedonians in Serbia must attend Serbian Churches and worship in the Serbian language, as they are not allowed to worship in Macedonian.

Macedonia has a bigger problem the Albanians are imbedded in all aspects of the society and it is dangerous for us to aline against them they currently have US and Western Europe backing and potentially will make a play to take portions of whatever little Macedonia is left. Well, this political party called "Serbian Orthodox Church" has not been registered as a political party in FYROM like all political parties must be, in accordance with the relevant FYROMian laws.

Guys I can tell you that in Macedonia you have MANY MANY people that know their ancestors considered themselves Serbs, but due to politics/jobs, blackmail it's just simpler to say you're Macedonian. Over time sadly their kids' today identify as Macedonians and have been fully brainwashed by local commercials and schools. The govt has worked very hard over the last 25yrs to instill they're ancient Macedonians. Also, they've changed the dialect of the north (which was more like Vranje speech 70yrs ago), to that of Bitoljska. The villagers where my parents are from speak very different than what my grandparents and parents spoke. Macedonians are very defensive if a fellow countrymen identifies himself/herself as a Serb. They attack you on false historical claims and will call you Srboman (serb wannabe). Just proves how racist and insecure they are of their false identity. They do not feel validated as macedonians if you say i'm a Serb from Macedonia.

I would be more satisfied if articles on Fyrom such as the current one, instead of dealing with superficial issues, bothered to mention that most of its current population are direct descendants of self-identifying ethnic Bulgarians ,their sudden transformation into "ancient Macedonians" and exposed the irredentism by the vast majority of its citizens (constant claims Macedonia Greece is "occupied) then surely a Greek would believe those that support the former Yugoslavians are something more than Greek hating bigots.
As a final note I would say to Fyromians to stop behaving like frauds and trying to hijack Greek history and heritage.Even their national heroes have always been proudly announcing their Bulgarian heritage. Accept your Bulgarian identity in the same manner you have accepted your Bulgarian passports.

These comments are welcome. They should be a sobering reminder to Macedonians about what Serbs are really like. The Serbian-Greek alliance is very old and remains in place. Macedonians in the past shed much blood to fight against the occupation of Macedonia by these two states. Hell, we even killed the Serbian King with the help of our Croatian brothers. Let's not forget that the Macedonian Orthodox Church remains un-recognized to this day, due to the objections of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The Macedonian Orthodox Church operates freely in Croatia, but cannot operate in Serbia. Macedonians in Serbia must attend Serbian Churches and worship in the Serbian language, as they are not allowed to worship in Macedonian.

Well, this political party called "Serbian Orthodox Church" has not been registered as a political party in FYROM like all political parties must be, in accordance with the relevant FYROMian laws.
Feel free to thank ayatollah Gavrilovic for making the "Serbian Orthodox Church" a political organization. Those are the consequences of his actions.
People in Serbia must realise that nearly %30 of our population are Albanians and if we didn't recognise Kosovo we could've had a huge increase in ethnic tensions. There have been some interesting debates on here since I last checked in Friday, january 6th.
Njegos - The introduction to the MOC definitely divided the population from Sar Planina/Tetovo area. This divide is obvious in the Detroit area, where about 25,000 from Tetovo live. The villagers from my village (Vratnica), today number about 3,000. The rest of the Tetovo diaspora (for the most part), built a MOC, however, we Vratnicani built a Serbian Church 4miles away. So to your question, you can see how great this divide was between peoples.
Makedonec - If true what you saw/claim about Bulgarian ethnicity, we would have to look and analysis the situation back then. Did they have some kind of Ottoman passport, and selecting Serb was not an option back then. The Turks FEARED greatly unification of all Serb people (or people that supported a Serbian state). I sent you those links and you saw first hand, that people in the mid 1800s had selected schooling in Serbian. So the fact that you saw/or have what you have in terms of documentation, does not mean they felt Bulgarian. Kinda like today's Macedonian that gets a Bulgarian passport. To his greatgreatgrand children 110yrs from today, they'll think he was Bulgarian (on paper). Take that with a grain of salt. The fact/s are; people from Polog begged the King of Serbia to save them from Bulgars and Turks, Serbian schools, volunteers in the Serb army etc etc. When not forced the village chose Serbia and Serbdom!!

The Greek state was condemned for not fulfilling their NATO obligations and sharing secrets with Belgrade. But above all else, Serbia should stand with Greece because they are RIGHT in regards to the attempt to steal their history. The FYROMians are ethnically Serb and Bulgarian. They have nothing in common with the ancient Macedonians.
Greeks, please forgive erbia's foolish policy in the past. Serbia should unrecognize the fake name immediately.

Guys I can tell you that in Macedonia you have MANY MANY people that know their ancestors considered themselves Serbs, but due to politics/jobs, blackmail it's just simpler to say you're Macedonian. Over time sadly their kids' today identify as Macedonians and have been fully brainwashed by local commercials and schools. The govt has worked very hard over the last 25yrs to instill they're ancient Macedonians. Also, they've changed the dialect of the north (which was more like Vranje speech 70yrs ago), to that of Bitoljska. The villagers where my parents are from speak very different than what my grandparents and parents spoke. Macedonians are very defensive if a fellow countrymen identifies himself/herself as a Serb. They attack you on false historical claims and will call you Srboman (serb wannabe). Just proves how racist and insecure they are of their false identity. They do not feel validated as macedonians if you say i'm a Serb from Macedonia.

I would be more satisfied if articles on Fyrom such as the current one, instead of dealing with superficial issues, bothered to mention that most of its current population are direct descendants of self-identifying ethnic Bulgarians ,their sudden transformation into "ancient Macedonians" and exposed the irredentism by the vast majority of its citizens (constant claims Macedonia Greece is "occupied) then surely a Greek would believe those that support the former Yugoslavians are something more than Greek hating bigots.
As a final note I would say to Fyromians to stop behaving like frauds and trying to hijack Greek history and heritage.Even their national heroes have always been proudly announcing their Bulgarian heritage. This is the stupidest thing I have ever herd. Macedonia is facing problems on all sides. How many Albanians does Serbia have trying to take land. Kosovo was Clintons present to the Albanians for all the money they took. Macedonia has a bigger problem the Albanians are imbedded in all aspects of the society and it is dangerous for us to aline against them they currently have US and Western Europe backing and potentially will make a play to take portions of whatever little Macedonia is left. Serbia should unrecognize macedonia. It is pathetic what they've done by recognizing Kosovo, allowing NATO etc. All this while albanians punished and continue to punish the residents of northwestern mk. The bib in your mouth needs to be straightened out. Here is the reality Greece and Serbia doesn't give a damn about FYROM, is has nothing of value other than some Paprika farms and of course the Serbian Monastery in Ochrid where the greatest Serbian Monk Nikolaj Velimirovic venerated. FYROM on the other hand is laying claim to Macedonia proper in Greece including Thessaloniki. That is when FYROM will be wiped off Europe as an entity. As well, the so called Autocephalous Macedonian Church is not recognized by Bartholomew and the head of the Orthodox Church in Istanbul.
