Work on the Gazela bridge and Terazije Tunnel have caused a complete traffic collapse in Belgrade’s center. The tunnel will be opened later in the afternoon. Traffic collapse in Belgrade The closing of the tunnel and several lanes on the Gazela Bridge have made it hard to get across the Sava River on Saturday. The mayor's office, however, has requested that the tunnel be opened in the afternoon and close again at night. The tunnel is closed for regular maintenance and cleaning, the Serbian Roads public company stated. Several lanes in both directions are closed on the Gazela bridge as well because of restoration work and will remain closed until Monday. There is also asphalting work being done in New Belgrade and Banjica. Work on the streets and tram rails is also ongoing on the Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard all the way to the Cvetkova Market with several lanes close on that main city boulevard as well. The closing of the tunnel and several lanes on the Gazela Bridge have made it hard to get across the Sava River on Saturday.

The mayor's office, however, has requested that the tunnel be opened in the afternoon and close again at night.

The tunnel is closed for regular maintenance and cleaning, the Serbian Roads public company stated.

Several lanes in both directions are closed on the Gazela bridge as well because of restoration work and will remain closed until Monday.
