The Spanish government has decided to extradite Bosnian Serb Veselin Vlahovic to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Vlahovic is suspected of committing war crimes and is known as the “monster from Grbavica.” Spain to extradite Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect He was arrested in March and has been living in Spain since escaping from a Podgorica prison in 2001. The Bosnian prosecution stated that Vlahovic is indicted for the murder, rape, abuse and torture of non-Serb civilians in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Grbavica during the war, in between 1992 and 1995. Spanish daily El Pais states that Vlahovic admitted to Spanish police that he killed more than 100 Muslims, German news agency DPA states.
