"National interest not jeopardized in Kosovo"
Vulin, who is leader of the Movement of Socialist, was addressing members of the party's municipal committee in Bačka Palanka."If there are more Serbs in Kosovo than are today, everything is clear - we won and we defended Kosovo and Metohija and Serbia in Kosovo," he said, pointing out that it was "important that as many children as possible are born in Kosovo and that people return to their homes."
Vulin then repeated the position he voiced several times, that Serbia "will never recognize Kosovo's independence," adding that "Kosovo's independence will not be recognized as long as Serbia does not recognize it, even if the rest of the world did."
"I cannot imagine that a government will ever be formed in Serbia that will recognize Kosovo," said Vulin.
He pointed out that "before someone says that Kosovo should be independent, they must explain why no one has been punished for more than 1,000 Serbs killed since 1999."
"Why are Serbs tried according to one yardstick, and Albanians according to another, and why for the same offense Serbs are found guilty or held in custody, while Albanians are set free pending the end of the trial," asked Vulin.
