EnergyObserver is reporting on its website about "six months of secret talks" between Serbia's public power enterprise EPS and their Russian counterparts. These negotiations are allegedly aimed at selling "all of EPS" to the Russians. Russians eying all of Serbian power corp.? According to this report, the talks are "unofficially handled on the Russian side by Anatoly Chubais". Chubais was the privatization minister during the Boris Yeltsin era in Russia. EnergyObserver's anonymous source also said that the negotiations are "the main reason for the postponement of a tender to seek a strategic partner for EPS, that would jointly build thermo and hydro capacities".
