The National Armed Forces of Latvia announce: “An aerial threat in Latvian airspace. Seek a safe place indoors. If you see a low-flying and suspicious object, do not approach it and call 112. You will be notified when the threat has ended,” the statement from the military said, as reported by the Latvian portals “Delfi” and “112.lv”.It is specified that the air threat warning was declared in the Aluksne, Ludza, and Balvi regions.The National Armed Forces of Latvia, together with NATO allies, are continuously monitoring the airspace to ensure the ability to respond immediately to potential threats, Delfi notes, adding that the military has strengthened air defense capabilities on the eastern border by deploying additional units.The military called on the public to follow only official sources of information and to adhere to the instructions of the relevant authorities.Shortly afterward, the Latvian military announced today on its X account that the potential threat in Latvian airspace had been lifted.
