Telekom broke all records: revenues 2.3 billion euros, profit 1.3 billion euros

The strongest contribution came from the domestic Serbian market, where Telekom generated 1.65 billion euros in revenue and an operating profit of as much as 960 million euros.The final audit report for 2025 also confirmed that the company achieved a net profit of over 200 million euros that year. Based on first-quarter results this year, we can confidently conclude that in 2026 we will have a net profit exceeding 300 million euros. I would like to remind you that in 2018, when we began the company&rsquo;s transformation, we had total revenues of less than one billion euros, and that Telekom was subjected for seven full years to a strong media, political, and lobbying campaign both in Serbia and in Brussels and Washington. However, it turned out that truth prevails, and that a lie repeated a hundred or a thousand times cannot become the truth. It has also been confirmed that our market consolidation strategy, through the acquisition of a large part of United Group&rsquo;s business, was absolutely correct,&rdquo; said Vladimir Lučić during an appearance on the show &ldquo;Dan na dan.&rdquo;Telekom Serbia now holds over 60% market share in the country, is the only operator engaged in media content production, and its direct competitors pay it significant fees for the use of content and optical infrastructure.Telekom Srbija to operate in the United States from SeptemberTelekom Serbia CEO Vladimir Lučić announced today that the Serbian company will become an operator in the United States within a few months, after Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.&ldquo;In the U.S. we are starting in September, with a highly attractive offer for the diaspora from the entire Western Balkans region. Our goal is for our service packages to be up to twice as cheap as those currently offered by operators in the United States. Users will have unlimited calls within the U.S., as well as to Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with over 300 regional TV channels. We have completed testing, we will use the AT&amp;T network which provides excellent coverage across the entire U.S., and we are in the final phase of obtaining approval from their regulator,&rdquo; Lučić said.The head of Telekom is also very satisfied with the company&rsquo;s development in Germany. Interest is reflected in the fact that Telekom Serbia has three offices in Munich, with new ones opening in D&uuml;sseldorf and Stuttgart, as well as in all areas where a large number of people from the region live.New users can keep their old phone numbers, have completely free calling, access to 300 TV channels, and can also purchase a digital TAG device in offices for easier travel to Serbia by car.Lučić also pointed out that, through the acquisition of the diaspora platform NetTV from United Group, Telekom has become the only legal operator distributing regional TV channels abroad, offering more than 300 channels of the highest technical quality.&ldquo;Regarding TV channels we distribute for the diaspora, piracy is a major issue, but we are fighting it, including cooperation with Europol. Our legal package is not at all more expensive than pirated ones, plus we offer monthly payments instead of yearly ones like pirates do, while quality and system reliability are incomparably on our side,&rdquo; Lučić said.Cooperation with international partners, especially from the United States, will be key for Telekom Serbia&rsquo;s future development.&ldquo;We have been selected as a regional partner by the European Investment Bank, the official financial institution of the EU, and we are the only company from the Western Balkans with a representative office in Brussels. Global operator Vodafone has been our partner for five years; we use their procurement system according to the highest global standards, with the best prices and maximum transparency. As for the United States, we are working very hard and very successfully on that. Through cooperation with Bank of America, we established a partnership with JP Morgan, the world&rsquo;s number one. Within the next month, we are expected to sign a contract for the development of a 5G network with the U.S. Export-Import Bank, as the only operator in Europe with direct cooperation with them, which will bring new American investments across the region,&rdquo; said Lučić. Truly proud of Telekom&#39;s fund for financing startups &ldquo;I am truly proud of Telekom&rsquo;s fund for financing startups. The audit report for 2025 shows that the fund ended the financial year with a multi-million profit, and the value of our shares in startups is almost ten times higher than the investment. We will certainly not sell our equity stakes, because their value will grow much further. For example, a startup from Sweden has developed a robot that can successfully handle berries, which are of course very small and delicate, and it is already in operation in Scandinavian countries,&rdquo; Lučić said, expressing satisfaction.There is a very positive attitude among international partners toward Telekom Serbia, and one of the company&rsquo;s most important priorities is the development of artificial intelligence (AI).&ldquo;The center of AI development is in America, where hundreds of billions of dollars are being invested, and we want to become part of that. We have a chance, especially in AI, to become a major American partner for all of Europe, given that the EU made mistakes in defining priorities. I am extremely satisfied with cooperation with the U.S. administration. We share priorities such as AI, cybersecurity, startups&hellip; We are welcome guests in Washington, at the State Department and the Department of Commerce, which we also use to better connect with the largest digital companies,&rdquo; he noted.Good relations with the U.S. are important for Telekom Serbia&rsquo;s continued presence in Kosovo and Metohija. However, problems remain.&ldquo;We survived in Kosovo and Metohija thanks to the Brussels Agreement. That document was the basis that prevented the suffocation and closure of our company MTS three years ago, where we had strong support from the U.S. administration. Unfortunately, even 13 years after the agreement was signed, much of it has not been implemented, including the obligation of Pristina to issue a tender for a third mobile license, which they refuse to do because they know we would certainly win as the leading telecommunications company in the Western Balkans. We have around 30,000 subscribers in Kosovo and Metohija who use very good internet and the same TV channels as in the rest of Serbia. However, the Pristina administration has limited our mobile network expansion, so we are working intensively to have the tender issued, to participate, and as the clearly best provider, to win,&rdquo; Lučić concluded.Abolition of roaming with the EU possibly as early as 2027Telekom Serbia CEO Vladimir Lučić emphasized that one of the company&rsquo;s priorities, which would bring major benefits to citizens of Serbia and the entire region, is the complete abolition of roaming charges with the European Union.&ldquo;We need to work intensively with the European Commission so that the Western Balkans and the EU become a single telecommunications market and roaming is abolished. EU roaming packages are already significantly cheaper, but we are moving toward full abolition. We expect a decision from the European Commission during, hopefully, next year. Telekom Serbia strongly supports this,&rdquo; Lučić said.
