After the session concluded, Deputy Speaker of the Serbian Parliament Marina Raguš addressed the public.“The Presidency and the Main Board of SNS lasted incredibly long. President Vučević informed us that, due to state obligations, President Vučić was unable to attend.Peace, stability, dialogue, the interests of citizens, and Serbia and its citizens above all — these are the key priorities,” Raguš said. The session of the SNS Main Board began shortly after 4:00 p.m.The session was attended by vice presidents of the party’s Main Board — Ana Brnabić, Siniša Mali, Irena Vujović, Nevena Djurić, and Aleksandar Šapić — as well as the president of the SNS Executive Board, Darko Glišić.Other party officials and Main Board members present included Adrijana Mesarović, Bratislav Gašić, Aleksandra Sofronijević, Jelena Žarić Kovačević, Sara Pavkov, Zlatibor Lončar, Aleksandar Mirković, Uglješa Mrdić, Milovan Drecun, and others. Before the Main Board session, a Presidency meeting of SNS was held. Both meetings took place at the Sava Center following talks between the SNS delegation and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, as part of consultations he is conducting with political parties.Earlier today, Vučević stated that the SNS delegation had a constructive and substantive meeting with Vučić, adding that they were pleased the president had called for broader social dialogue. He noted that the topics discussed were diverse. He said he would convey the key messages from the meeting with Vučić to other party members, given that the president was unable to attend, and that a broader internal dialogue would be opened within SNS, with plans to extend it to municipalities and cities during April.“SNS will discuss and present a program and proposal to the president and the citizens of Serbia on how we see Serbia in the future — whether it is in Europe or whether we should choose a different path — all issues of key importance,” Vučević said.Vučević also stated that SNS is ready for elections whenever they may be held, emphasizing that the decision to call elections is not a matter of one party’s assessment or interest, but rather the priority must be the interest of the state and its citizens. He added that SNS will fully follow that principle and accept the arguments of the President of the Republic and the Government of Serbia when the decision on calling elections is made.Stressing that SNS is ready to talk with all political actors on all topics, Vučević said that Serbia needs social dialogue and social peace. He also pointed out that members of his party do not understand those who advocate for early parliamentary elections while refusing to discuss that and other important issues with the president.
