The news of the death of former coach of Partizan, Red Star, CSKA, OKK Beograd, Brescia, Pistoia, Limoges, as well as the former head coach of Serbia and Montenegro, the first Montenegro national team, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been confirmed to the portal Nova.rs.Vujošević was 67 years old and had suffered from health problems for years due to diabetes; in 2025, he underwent a kidney transplant in Belarus.Earlier this March, he was hospitalized after his health seriously deteriorated, with complications affecting his heart and lungs.He was known for his strict discipline, great authority both on and off the court, his sharp gaze, and outspoken nature, which made him a figure whom people either admired unreservedly or not, no one was indiferent.He left his greatest mark at Partizan, where he began his coaching career in the youth categories in 1976, later dominating the team in the first decade of this century in both domestic and regional competitions, while also achieving notable results in the EuroLeague.In 2010, he led the Black-Whites to the greatest success in modern Serbian club basketball by reaching the Final Four of the elite competition.In the previous season, he was named EuroLeague Coach of the Year, after guiding Partizan to its second consecutive quarterfinal and receiving the "Aleksandar Gomelsky" award.He was a champion of Yugoslavia, Serbia, the ABA League, and a winner of the FIBA Korać Cup.His last coaching position was in 2021 with Cluj in Romania.
