In just the past 24 hours, six people have died and seven have been injured, the statement said, while floods, landslides, and storms have damaged homes, roads, shops, and farmland across large parts of the country, KHAAMA news agency reports.The affected provinces include Kabul, Kapisa, Parwan, Panjshir, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Zabul, Uruzgan, Ghor, Badghis, Sar-e Pul, Faryab, Samangan, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Kunar, and Laghman. The Disaster Management Authority reported that 139 homes were completely destroyed in the past day, while around 300 were partially damaged.According to the same data, more than 1,042 families were affected in just one day, and at least 212 families were newly displaced. Since the beginning of the floods, more than 2,700 families across Afghanistan have reportedly been affected, with hundreds of homes destroyed or damaged, while repeated downpours continue to hit vulnerable districts.Recent sudden floods have killed dozens. Pul-e-Khumri in Baghlan is facing severe flooding. For many farming families, such disasters not only destroy homes but also wipe out crops, livestock, and basic means of livelihood.The General Directorate of Meteorology of Afghanistan&rsquo;s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has also reported that heavy rains and floods are expected in 33 of Afghanistan&rsquo;s 34 provinces in the coming days.
