The World Championship in Tokyo was marked by an incredible high jump final, and the Serbian athlete Angelina Topić won the bronze medal. The final was interrupted twice due to heavy rain, but Topić remained focused and showed excellent form. She jumped 1.88, 1.93 and 1.97 on her first attempt. At a height of 2.00, she broke the bar three times."It was a real fight until the last jump and I'm overjoyed to bring home a medal. The rain and interruptions made the competition difficult, but I managed to stay focused and give my best. The bronze from the World Championship is a huge motivation for me to keep working and fight for even greater heights," said Topić.The battle for third place was decided by the performance of the current world champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh, who cleared once at 2.00 m, then made two attempts at 2.02 m, but she failed to clear them either. Thus, both contestants finished the competition at a height of 1.97 and shared the third place. With this result, Angelina once again confirmed why she is one of the best athletes in the world, at the same time confirming national records in all categories.
