One hundred days of the Government's work: Macut will present the results of its work today

The central event will be held in the Knjaževac House of Culture at 6:00 p.m., when the prime minister will present the results of the work of the government that was elected on April 16.As part of the celebration of one hundred days of the government&#39;s work, the Prime Minister yesterday visited Cariča city in the municipality of Lebane, as well as the memorial room of Ivo Andrić in the Moravica Hotel in Sokobanja, while today he will visit the Local Museum in Knjaževac, and then the Archaeo-Ethno Park in the village of Ravna.Macut previously stated that the results of the government&#39;s work in the first 100 days will be presented this week and assessed that a lot has been done in the previous three months.The government was elected in the circumstances of faculty blockades and when it was necessary to start a dialogue in order to reduce tensions in society.During the presentation of the exposition in the Parliament of Serbia, Macut said that Serbia is tired of blockades and protests and said that the main task is for the institutions of the system to function at full capacity and added that its doors will be open 24 hours, seven days a week.He recently stated that he understood the invitation from the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vučić, to be the head of the new government as an opportunity to, as someone who is academically accomplished, contribute to solving problems in education, and that the establishment of one of the pillars of society will speed up and return the domestic economy to the standards and paths it was on a few months ago.As he said, immediately after the start of the work of his cabinet, Macut got in contact with the representatives of the University, stating that the whole process lasted in several stages - from a lack of trust and an unrealistic expectation that everything could be solved, to the reality we are in now.After talks with representatives of state universities in Serbia, classes at faculties were re-established after eight months of blockade, and entrance exams for freshmen began.Macut also said that a lot had been done in the previous three months, emphasizing, among other things, the adoption of media laws and the introduction of the new e-sickleaves system.He added that the media laws were adopted, as well as the Law on electronic visas, and one of the more important laws that was adopted in the first 100 days was the Law on Alimony Fund, which enables the payment of alimony to single parents whose obligees do not pay alimony, while the state takes charge of those who avoid payment.Also, the prime minister previously said that he supports the position of the previous prime minister, Milo&scaron; Vucevic, regarding the redefinition of the law on textbooks, which was confirmed by the recent adoption of a proposal to amend that law by the government, which was referred to the parliamentary procedure.The existence of a national textbook package for elementary school students is foreseen, and Macut believes that it is very important for the new generations to be responsible for the country they are in, and to learn what is the basis of the existence of a country like Serbia, which has an extremely large, rich and historical, but also cultural tradition.The Government of Serbia adopted a number of important decisions in the previous 100 days, including the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance of the Serbs killed in the criminal action &quot;Bljesak/Flash&quot; and the Battle of Pastrik, as well as other historical events that are deeply imprinted in the collective memory of the Serbian people.In addition. September 1st will be marked as the beginning of the work of the Non-Aligned Movement, which gathered more than a hundred countries of the world.&quot;We need to remember those historical moments and to show that we are ready to renew old friendships and to establish relations with all countries in the world. That has always been the policy of Serbia,&quot; said Macut recently.The Assembly of Serbia elected a new government on April 16, and then the prime minister and members of the cabinet took the oath in front of the MPs, which started their mandate.In addition to the prime minister, the government consists of 30 ministers, most of whom were also in the cabinet of Prime Minister Milo&scaron; Vučević, who resigned. Among others, Sini&scaron;a Mali, Bratislav Ga&scaron;ić (Defense), Zlatibor Lončar (Health), Dubravka Djedović Handanović (Energy) and Marko Djurić (Foreign Affairs) kept their seats, while Dejan Vuk Stanković, Jagoda Lazarević, Nenad Vujić, Boris Bratina became members of the government for the first time.
