According to the latest data, 33 people were killed in the Soccsksargen region, including 18 in Sarangani, 12 in General Santos City, and three in South Cotabato, while another four deaths were reported in the Davao region, GMA News reported.

A total of 456 people were injured in the earthquake, while four people are still missing.

The disaster affected 17,689 families, or more than 77,000 residents in the impacted areas.

Rescue teams are continuing their search for the missing.

The city of General Santos and the province of Sarangani are among the hardest-hit areas.

Preliminary assessments show that nine bridges and 19 roads have been damaged, while infrastructure damage is estimated at more than €12.6 million.

A total of 1,889 homes have been damaged, of which around 1,500 have been completely destroyed.

The General Santos International Airport was also damaged due to the effects of the earthquake, leading to flight cancellations and diversions.

Despite this, authorities have allowed the airport to be used for military, government, and humanitarian flights.

Many residents are still staying outdoors due to frequent aftershocks and fears of further building collapses, while authorities are considering setting up temporary shelters for displaced people.

Classes have been suspended in some areas due to the effects of the earthquake, while humanitarian aid continues to be delivered to the affected regions.
