A woman in her 20s died today after a van hit three pedestrians in central London.
A woman in her 20s died today after a van hit three pedestrians in central London.
Two other pedestrians were rushed to hospital after the incident which happened at around 11.40 a.m. on the Strand in central London.
One of the pedestrians suffered life-threatening injuries, while the other was slightly injured, reports Sky News.
The driver of the van, a 26-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving under the influence of drugs and was remanded in custody.
The Metropolitan Police said that the investigation is ongoing and that the accident is not being treated as terrorism-related.
