Working hours extended: Cafés in Bosnia and Herzegovina to stay open until dawn for match against the U.S.

“Our national team has, in recent days, united Bosnia and Herzegovina in a way that is rarely seen. When an entire country breathes as one, institutions have a duty to recognize the value of such moments. That is why we proposed this recommendation, believing that, wherever possible, employers will show understanding toward their employees and allow them to be with their families and friends to support our ‘Dragons’. This is not a decision against work. It is a decision in favor of unity, because there are moments that transcend everyday life and become part of our shared history,” said Delić.

The Federation Ministry of Labor and Social Policy thanked the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for accepting the initiative and called on employers to support the recommendation in line with their capabilities and the nature of their work processes.

As they stated, there are moments that are much more than sport and that remind people that, despite all differences, Bosnia and Herzegovina can stand as one.

“Such a moment awaits us on the night when our ‘Dragons’ will play one of the biggest matches in the history of Bosnian-Herzegovinian sport,” the Ministry said.
