An Air Serbia plane took off yesterday morning from Belgrade to evacuate Serbian citizens, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) previously announced that 329 Serbian citizens have so far been safely evacuated from the Middle East.
According to the MFA of Serbia, 329 people have been safely evacuated so far, including 67 on an evacuation flight from Sharm El-Sheikh and 262 on a flight from Dubai.
For today, March 9, two repatriation flights are planned from Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport (RUH), intended to evacuate Serbian citizens from Saudi Arabia, as well as Serbian citizens currently in Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.
These planned flights will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, each with a capacity of 180 passengers.
Preparations are underway for these flights, including obtaining the necessary permits and continuously monitoring safety assessments for overflight and landing in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Air Serbia has invited all citizens of the Republic of Serbia who wish to register for these evacuation flights to contact the nearest Serbian diplomatic-consular missions for all relevant information on registration procedures and flight schedules.
