The session of the Serbian Orthodox Church Assembly begins
The regular session of the Serbian Orthodox Church will officially begin today with a bishop's liturgy in the Church of Saint Sava in Vračar, announced the Serbian Orthodox Church.

As stated, the Assembly will begin with the assembly liturgy with the "invocation of the Holy Spirit".
The work of the highest hierarchical, ecclesiastical-legislative and ecclesiastical-judicial body of the Serbian Orthodox Church, under the presidency of Patriarch Porfirije and with the participation of archbishops, will begin in the crypt of the Memorial Temple of Saint Sava in Vračar.
According to the procedure determined by the Rules of Procedure, the session begins with the adoption of the agenda consisting of the received items submitted by the Holy Synod of Bishops, and continues with the consideration of the reports on the work of all diocesan bishops, central church bodies, organs and institutes.
"On the basis of Article 59 of the Constitution of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church has convened the Holy Synod of Bishops in its regular session, which will solemnly begin on May 13, 2024, with the Liturgy of the Congregation with the Invocation of the Holy Spirit in the Memorial Church of St. Sava in Vračar," the announcement stated.
