The fire has intensified in the Rapti area and around Petrina Hill. One front is threatening to descend along the slopes toward urban neighborhoods. The fire is also threatening homes in the village of Kremeni Do.

In Kremeni Do, the fire is approaching from two directions. At one point, the flames reached the houses themselves, but firefighters and local residents managed to protect the properties. A helicopter from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to arrive in the evening to tackle sections of the fire in inaccessible terrain.

Firefighters from Nevesinje have been battling the wildfires for 15 days, according to RTRS.

The current priority is to extinguish the fire in the Donji Plužine area, where firefighters are trying to contain the blaze and prevent it from crossing the regional road and spreading toward the Nevesinje–Gacko road.

One front of the fire on Morine has been extinguished, while another, high in the Crvanj mountain, remains inaccessible to firefighters.

The fire is not currently threatening any settlements. Unofficial estimates indicate that around 140,000 hectares of grassland, barren land, low vegetation and forest have been burned in the Nevesinje area.

On Mount Crvanj, where the fire is affecting dense forest, employees of the “Botin” Nevesinje Forestry Enterprise are battling the blaze.
