Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met in Tivat with Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and President Jakov Milatović.

 

Vučić spoke with numerous European officials


Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić spoke this evening with numerous European officials.

“In a less formal atmosphere, I am speaking with numerous European officials and partners from the region about key issues for the future of the Western Balkans, the European path of our countries, as well as opportunities for further improvement of cooperation and strengthening mutual trust,” he wrote on Instagram.

The gathering will be chaired by António Costa, who previously toured countries across the region, while the host will be Jakov Milatović. Serbia will be represented by Aleksandar Vučić, who has arrived for the summit.

Macron and Spajić attend signing of bilateral agreements

Milojko Spajić and Emmanuel Macron are attending the signing of agreements in several areas between representatives of the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the French Republic in Cetinje.

Vučić arrives in Tivat

Aleksandar Vučić has arrived in Tivat, where he will participate today and tomorrow in the EU–Western Balkans Summit being held in the coastal Montenegrin city.

Aleksandar Vučić met today in Tivat with Kyriakos Mitsotakis ahead of the EU–Western Balkans Summit being held in the Montenegrin city.

 

Emmanuel Macron spoke after arriving in Podgorica, saying that it was an honor to be in Montenegro and emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the two countries, as well as the upcoming EU–Western Balkans Summit in Tivat.

“We want to ambitiously develop cooperation and friendship with Montenegro. We will sign very important agreements that will enable us, together with our agencies and ministries, to turn them into concrete projects in the fields of energy, defense, and hospital construction, as well as through the Cyber Capacity Development Center in Podgorica,” Macron said.

He added that France remains committed to Montenegro and continues to support its path toward membership in the European Union.
