The latest results of the presidential elections in Republika Srpska have been announced

According to the first incomplete results from the Central Election Commission of BiH in the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska, SNSD candidate Siniša Karan has 50.30% of the votes, while opposition SDS candidate Branko Blanuša has 48%.

The results were announced based on 99.72 percent of processed polling stations.

Karan received 217,324 votes from registered voters, while Blanuša received 208,955 votes.

Dragan Djokanović of the Alliance for New Politics received 1,877 votes, or 0.43 percent; Nikola Lazarević of the Ecological Party of Republika Srpska received 1,583 votes, or 0.37 percent; Igor Gašević, an independent candidate, received 1,284 votes, or 0.30 percent; and Slavko Dragičević, also an independent candidate, received 1,012 votes, or 0.23 percent.

According to the Central Election Commission (CIK), of the 1,264,364 registered voters for yesterday’s elections, 439,897, or 34.79 percent, turned out to vote.

Valid ballots numbered 432,035, or 98.21 percent; blank ballots were 853, or 0.19 percent; and invalid ballots by other criteria numbered 7,009, or 1.59 percent.
