Did the Ukrainians blow up the MOL refinery? A massive explosion rocked the facility, a fire broke out PHOTO
Last night, a fire broke out at the MOL oil refinery in Hungary. The blaze is suspected to have been caused by an explosion, and emergency services are still working at the site.
A fire and explosion were reported in the raw materials processing unit, with flames breaking out late Monday night.
The first responders were the refinery’s own firefighters, followed by professional fire crews from Budapest and surrounding towns.
Disaster management services were also present at the scene.
The fire has been contained, and the response lasted until the early hours of the morning.
No one was injured in the fire.

On social media, the incident has been linked to Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), implying that Ukrainians allegedly blew up the MOL refinery.
“After the explosion, a fire broke out tonight at the main Hungarian oil refinery in Százhalombatta, Hungary. GUR? GUR,” reads a post on X (formerly Twitter).
