Petković said that Sveçla, through what he described as staged press conferences and “performances,” was trying to conceal allegations that Kosovo police units had fired at Serbian children and beaten and arrested innocent Serbs.
“While Aleksandar Vučić is preserving peace and protecting Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, Sveçla will always remain what he is — Kurti’s henchman for dirty work and a criminal who feeds on hatred toward Serbs,” Petković wrote on X, responding to Sveçla’s remarks at a press conference in southern Mitrovica.
Speaking about the case of Serbian citizen Nenad Rašković, Sveçla said that Vučić was allegedly trying through his rhetoric to distort the picture of current events in Kosovo. Sveçla also said that two Kosovo police officers had been suspended following an investigation into the Rašković case and that the public would be informed of the findings once the investigation was completed.
Rašković has alleged that Kosovo police officers beat and mistreated him after searching his home in the village of Dren.
