Vučić in Brussels with the two most important EU leaders; Dinner with Ursula von der Leyen and António Costa
Yesterday, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, attended a dinner in Brussels organized by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, together with the President of the European Council, António Costa.
“It was a great honor for Serbia that I had the opportunity this evening in Brussels to discuss with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Council, António Costa, the key issues of Serbia–EU bilateral relations and our European path.
I am grateful for their hospitality and sincere support for our country, our European path, as well as our reform and development agenda. Serbia remains firmly committed to its strategic goal—EU membership—and continues to be a reliable and responsible partner of the EU in all processes that contribute to peace, stability, and the prosperity of our citizens.
With our hosts, I exchanged views on all the steps Serbia has taken in implementing reforms and fulfilling its obligations. We devoted special attention to the energy sector, focusing on Serbia’s energy security and stability. We also discussed the current momentum in the EU’s enlargement policy, the situation in the region, and opportunities to accelerate Serbia’s progress on the European path,” Vučić wrote on Instagram.
