Promont Group is a company known to the public for its ownership of luxury hotel complexes in Vojvodina.

The businessman, who came to Serbia from Šćepan Polje in Montenegro, was named manager of the year several times and was a potential minister of economy.

He started his career as a canal digger, then switched to catering. He started with a company that deals with the installation of gas pipelines and water pipes, he continued with trade and the production of brandy, he was a potential minister of economy, and today he is the "boss" of Fruška Gora. Milinko Cicmil is the head of Promont Group, a company known to the public for owning luxury hotel complexes in Vojvodina.

Cicmil's story began in 1989 when he employed 35 workers. In 2005, the company "Vodoinstalater" from 1958 changed its name to Promont Group - a company specialized in the construction of gas pipelines, heating and water installations and the production of gas equipment.

The group also includes "Promont Frigo", a company that buys and trades fruit and vegetables, while the third member of the group, "Promont Distillery", is engaged in the production of fruit brandies and craft beer. At one point, information appeared that a bottle of quince produced by Cicmil costs 67 euros.

Hospitality was his next step, crowned by the construction of a luxury tourist complex on the slopes of Fruška Gora on an area of 29,000 square meters.

Cicmil has previously spoken to the Montenegrin media several times about the benefits he offers to employees in his companies.

"People get an apartment and work on it for 20 years without calculated interest, at some minimum prices, as much as they would pay rent for that time. The worker is so attached to his company. He has a quality job, both he and his family," Cicmil told "Vijesti" on one occasion, adding that many of his colleagues told him that he is insane.

Cicmil then also told that his grandfather, who lived in Šcepan Polje, was an extremely rich man, but that he was left with nothing in an instant, which is an important life lesson for him.

"Then the communists took everything from him. The family had a tragedy, my grandfather died, my uncle died and in a short time we were left with nothing, everything was taken from us, taken away, picked up, we even later had serious problems from people who were servants of my late grandfather" - he said, adding that his grandfather's philosophy was: "No one can take away what you have in your head, in your fingers and hands."

Milinko has a son, who is studying in Italy, and he passed on a similar philosophy to him.

"Taught by my story, regardless of everything we have, my son has learned a lesson and a story from the history of the family - that we remained the poorest, and we had everything. Regardless of the fact that we now have everything, these are fragile areas and life teaches us that only what is in his head will be his, and he will acquire and multiply this knowledge. It is useless to leave him five more companies, in addition to these, if he does not follow the right path," said Cicmil at the time.
