Police operation in Belgrade: Two people arrested in whose apartment 50kg of marijuana and two guns were found
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić said today that the police officers of the Police Administration for the city of Belgrade, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, seized a large amount of drugs.
During the search of the apartment in Belgrade, around 50 kilograms of marijuana and two pistols were found with them.
As announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, J.N. (37) and P.N. (37) were arrested due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs.
"During the search of the apartment in Belgrade used by the suspects, police officers found about 50 kilograms of marijuana, more than four and a half kilograms of heroin and more than 3.1 kilograms of cocaine, as well as a scale for precise measurement. The search also found two pistols and 23 pieces of ammunition, which is why the suspects are charged with the criminal offense of illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials," Dačić said.
He added that they have been detained for up to 48 hours, after which they will be brought to the competent prosecutor's office with a criminal complaint.
