Father killed a successful young tennis player: Body found in the house

The tragedy happened on Wednesday morning, while Radhika was preparing breakfast. Father Deepak Yadav (49) fired five shots from his legal revolver, three of which hit his daughter in the back, foreign media write.

Although her uncle and cousin immediately rushed her to the hospital, the doctors could only pronounce her dead.

According to the police, Yadav confessed to the murder, saying that he was depressed and under pressure because the villagers of Waziriabad village mocked him for living off his daughter's success while he himself was "doing nothing".

Radhika recently opened a tennis academy, which her father repeatedly resented, begging her to close the academy. However, she refused to give up on her dream.

According to investigators, shortly before the murder, father and daughter had a heated argument at their home.

Uncle Kuldeep, who lives on the ground floor of the same house, said that he heard the shot and immediately ran upstairs, where he found Radhika lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen. According to him, the revolver was thrown in the living room.

"We immediately put her in the car and took her to Asia Marengo Hospital, but it was already too late," he said.

At the time of the murder, only Radhika, her father and mother Manju were in the house. Her younger brother was not there.

The mother later stated that she had a fever and was in the room, not knowing what was happening until it was too late...

Police seized weapons, fired and unfired bullets, as well as other forensic evidence from the crime scene.

Yadav has been charged with multiple counts of the Indian Penal Code, including murder and illegal possession of a weapon.
