Miodrag Kostić died

The company, which today is among the most successful groups in agriculture, tourism, energy and banking, was founded by Miodrag Kostić in 1983, as an economist, which ranks him among the pioneers of private business in Serbia.

"It is with great sadness that we inform you that Miodrag Kostić, the founder and president of MK Group, has passed away. During his 40-year active professional career, he created one of the largest business systems in the region, which earned him the international status of one of the most influential leaders and most successful businessmen in the Southeast Europe", it has been announced in the company's statement.

During his career, Kostić achieved great success and pioneering ventures in agriculture, tourism, energy and banking, positioning his companies as leaders in these sectors.

He followed the expansion of his business with numerous socially responsible activities, and the crown of his philanthropic activity is the Endowment of Miodrag Kostić, through which he presents the Palace of Science to the Serbian people, as the largest single donation for charity in this region since the beginning of the last century.

He retired from a management role in the company he built five years ago. He entrusted the management of the business system to his son Aleksandar Kostic, vice president of MK Group and chairman of the Board of Directors of AIK Bank, while executive management continued to be carried out by professional management, it was stated in the announcement.
