The Italian chain sets first locations in Serbia
The Italian retailer Eurospin definitely plans to expand to the Serbian market.
Unofficially, the company Eurospin EKO, which manages branches in Slovenia and Croatia, has determined the first locations in Serbia.
Through representatives, Eurospin recently advertised a large number of open job positions for the head office in Serbia with several months of training in Croatia and Italy. According to the findings of the Retail Serbia portal, certain sectors started training colleagues from Serbia at the end of last year.
For now, the company has not officially announced its expansion to the Serbian market.
Eurospin today operates at 1,300 locations in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Malta and employs more than 22,000 workers. In 2024, the company achieved close to ten billion euros in turnover.
The group was created in 1993 from the idea of four entrepreneurs as a response to the growing customer demand for savings.
Let us remind you that the Macedonian discounter Stokomak recently entered the Serbian market, while the branch of the French Carrefour in Greece once again recently confirmed that it owns a master franchise for Serbia and announced the entry of the French brand.
Another Western European chain is interested in the Serbian market, whose representatives have visited Belgrade several times, but for now there is no information about their arrival in Serbia, reports Retail Serbia.
